I JUST THREW AWAY MY PORN MAGAZINES!!!

I am cleaning shop! Maaaaan, I got so much trash in my house, it's gotta go.

And it's GREAT! I love this feeling! I am going to go ZEN. All the junk has fot to go. First of things being my tacky porn magazines. Who needs those with the internet these days?

Next to go are like seven years worth of Interview magazines, loads of Entertainment Weekly's, Empire's and Flaunt's. My magazine days are over TOO.

Bye lame ass Janet. poster (I mean; wtf; Janet?). Bye Annie Lennox poster. All these stupid keepsakes from my Virgin days. wave I have always been holding onto to these, in the hope I would make others happy with them, but in the meantime my house is a junkyard.

And I need zen right NOW. So out it all goes.

Woohooooo

I have tons of magazines too that mostly just occupy space and I've thought about selling them on E-Bay or throwing them away at least a hundred times, but then I start flicking through them and realize how many events and people and things I've forgotten about, and suddenly the mags change from waste of space to important time capsules. But then a few months later I decide to throw them away again and the process starts over. nuts

My life's belongings down to 7 boxes of stuff and my clothes.

It feels good to get rid of clutter.

I had those feelings often. Been a mag-junkie since age 13.

But if you just calculate how much money is just gathering dust on the floor right now, it makes me realise what an expensive hobby it is. I will get rid off these piles and clear the room. I got internet nowadays.

Wow that's amazing..I don't think I could do that. I have so much junk, and I tend to save everything my kids ever did in school or drew etc....

It was not easy but it was expensive to send stuff over so I kept that in mind as I went through stuff.
It also went by weight so I had to take that into consideration as well.

I got rid of a lot of stuff from the past that I was holding on to for no apparent reason.

My mom didn't keep things from when I was younger so I really did not have much childhood stuff to bring.
Your a good mom and you are blessed to have beautiful children. Keep all of their stuff and don't feel bad about it, they will appreciate that you kept it.

Interesting. It was around age 13-16 that I read magazines the most too. I guess it's an age of discovering the world around us.

But if you just calculate how much money is just gathering dust on the floor right now, it makes me realise what an expensive hobby it is. I will get rid off these piles and clear the room. I got internet nowadays.

True. I guess I'm too old-fashioned to see the internet as a proper replacement though. If I had a huge house I would dedicate a whole floor to various archives. lol

Go for it, man! Less is definitely more. nod I take living in a smaller space as a challenge to streamline and organize, and it does feel GREAT!

Oh man, it is haaaaard to throw stuff away; I am a kid of two people who were very adept in transfering their WWII trauma onto me; so I normally keep EVERYTHING.

But you are right. The zen-mind of stuff is great.

I just did a mini version of this not too long ago.

Magazines definitely add to the clutter and who REALLY goes back to them anyway? They aren't that good to begin with!

There's certain things that are cool to keep around, like actually, but too much falls under the "kitsch" category that just makes me feel old when I look at it.

Don't let your possessions possess you!
