Saturday I went to tattoo expo in San Jose, where I live. My best friend and I went specifically to meet Kat from L.A. Ink. SHE was gorgeous and very sweet. We chatted for a second. Because of the expo I'm thinking about finally getting the sock I wanted. It will start from the ankle to just below the knee. I'm also thinking about getting plugs. Not the huge ones. The smaller ones.

omg, lucky! i have such a crush on her. giggle

Friday night - nothing special, watched a movie, got to bed early.
Saturday - I stayed home with the kids while my wife did grocery shopping. Lucky me, since I hate grocery shopping. Went to the park in the afternoon with the family, the park is lovely in autumn mushy . Another movie in the evening then at 11.30 pm it went bad. Allthough I was not on call for work, they called me cuz the person who was, didn't answer their phone. I solved the issue from home and prepared to go to bed ... at 1pm they called again, and the issue was worst. All technical stuff aside, we had an emergency at hand ... I didn't get home before 4pm sunday sad went straight to bed and slept until 6am monday morning dead

Somebody should teach companies that they can buy all technology they want, but :
a) they have to get it configured correctly.
b) they have to write proper documentation.
c) they should have a proper Emergency Response Plan.
d) they have to know what they have, how the use it and which business processes it supports.

whatever disbelief cry

I had my work leaving do on Friday. It was OK, nothing special but a few drinks. Stumbled home quite early and went to bed early, having missed two calls from Redfeathers. Gutted.

Saturday-Watched the West Ham match at the pub.

Sunday-Tidied the house and got on with some jobs.

I didn't do much at all this weekend to be honest.

Friday. I was asleep by ten p.m.

I was awoken by a phone call at four a.m. from my friend Emma. She was trying to tell me some garbled story about meeting some guy at a club, sharing a taxi home and then opening the door of the taxi and flinging herself out, after he asked her if she wanted to go back to his place to "do" some coke. It took me ages to get back to sleep.

Saturday. I can't honestly remember what I did. I know I cleaned the bathroom and pottered about, but I didn't open the front door. A couple of friends phoned.

Sunday. Had a drink with my family in the local, as it was my Grandma's 88th birthday. She was bit tipsy. She told a story which inferred that she wasn't a virgin when she married my (deceased) Grandad - but he was. We were all laughing until we were crying. It was really random.

I had a couple of texts to go out last night, but I'm really penniless again.

Saturday night I sang and played mando in a smoky bar, with the help of a LOT of whiskey... almost lost my voice. That situation cannot go on much longer!

Sunday night, spent day drinking wine and picking grapes and eating massive amounts of meat at a local wine festival.

Wow!!! Enjoyeable read but I'm exhausted. I totally admire parents that are so active in their kid's lives. I would've passed out by Saturday afternoon.

Thanks! The boy is 13, and it's really hitting me that soon, he will have no use for me. So I'm probably overdoing it, but what's a dad to do?

Who am I to say but DO what you've been doing. It sounds like you're doing great!

So do I. My friends and I took a picture with her. The first thing I said was "I want your shoes." She giggled. That was all I wanted, to make her laugh.

Her sister was there and so was her boyfriend. I didn't know that her boyfriend was Roy Orbison's son. We talked to him too. Goofy looking and very nice.

After that I went to a Halloween party. It was my cousin's and her girlfriend's party. Very very fun. I went as Charlie Brown. Those who know me know that I didn't have to do much to prepare.

Sunday. Nothing. Rest.

What did you do this weekend.

You met Kat? How cool is that! What I wouldn't do to get a tattoo from her. nod

My weekend was filled with movies, and baseball! Wahoo to the Red Sox! giggle

She's just soooo expensive. One of the girls that went with my best friend and I has actually received notice from TLC. They want to interview her to be on L.A. Ink to get tattooed. I thought KAT would have to interview her.

Friday, I got off work at 5:30 and drove directly to class, which was 6-10. Afterward, I drove home only to see an ex's car in my driveway, so I kept driving and ended up across town for most of the night having met up with a co-worker; we spent a while singing "Jumping Jack Flash" and "Blood on the Dance Floor" at the tennis players in Howarth Park.

Saturday, I had class from 8 AM to 12 PM, and skipped my 1-5 class to drive down to San Jose with a friend, as mentioned above. Hung out a bit in the city before going home way too late.

Sunday, went to breakfast with my dad and visited my Opa in San Leandro. He lives in San Pablo, but is in acute care after having three strokes two weeks ago. I'll spare the details. Just think of the worst-case scenario peppered with anger, pain, and hopelessness.

Spent all of last night awake, pondering what the fuck the point of it all is. I'm really having doubts regarding life's preciousness. Tonight I will drink as much as I must to avoid experiencing two nights of agony. What else can I do?
Oh shit, my hat done fell off

I didn't do all that much. Bought and assembled some Ikea furniture on Saturday and celebrated my mum's birthday on Sunday, that's all.

I am happy you were able to celebrate your mom's birthday. Parents are so special. We should all remember to treat the time we have with them as a gift. Mine are gone.

I'm sorry to hear that, and I agree that the time we have with them is precious. As is often the case though, you don't know what you had until you lose it, and especially with parents it's easy to get annoyed with them and forget to cherish the good moments. At least we're on speaking terms and have a lot of love despite the occasional anger and frustration. Some people are so disconected from their parents that they could just as well be strangers, and for them it must really feel like a lifetime of missed opportunities for reconciliation when their parents pass away.

it was excellent even!

sunday was fun, took the kids to haircuts and swimming, then I shopped BY MYSELF and got a brilliant new (and short) skirt and black top - after trying on about 25, one that hugs my figure in the right places.
