My weekend. How was yours?

I was lucky enough to be invited by THE PUBLIC DEFENDER to an event that honors people that support the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered community. It was very cool. The food was great!!!! I'm very lucky to be able to be OUT at work.
That was Friday.

Saturday I went to tattoo expo in San Jose, where I live. My best friend and I went specifically to meet Kat from L.A. Ink. SHE was gorgeous and very sweet. We chatted for a second. Because of the expo I'm thinking about finally getting the sock I wanted. It will start from the ankle to just below the knee. I'm also thinking about getting plugs. Not the huge ones. The smaller ones.

After that I went to a Halloween party. It was my cousin's and her girlfriend's party. Very very fun. I went as Charlie Brown. Those who know me know that I didn't have to do much to prepare.

Sunday. Nothing. Rest.

What did you do this weekend.

Oh my God. They took so many pictures I'm sure I'll have a couple to post. All I did was put on the famous Charlie Brown shirt and some black shorts. That was pretty much my outfit.

xxoo

Miggy! I was in San Jo on Saturday, and we drove past you in the expo when cruising downtown! It was weird, because I was thinking of you and Karla when we were right in front.

I was there for the anatomy exhibit at the Tech for a class I'm taking. Strange city, I must say. It was surreal and sterile, like Phoenix. Everything seemed really manicured and new. Big change from the north bay. lol Didn't know Kat was there!

How much did it cost to get in?

Weekend started on thursday with an unexpected late night visit. Stayed in Friday night. Saturday shopped, had some people over, got to know my neighbours a little more and then ended up out at some gay bar. Details are very, very sketchy.

Yesterday I spent the day recovering.

YOU MAY BE SORRY YOU ASKED, LOL!

The RodeoSchro family had another "Leave It To Beaver" weekend, although my son was sick Friday and Saturday and missed most of the fun.

I got home Friday afternoon at 3:00 and mowed the lawn for hopefully the last time this year. Then, I washed my car. My wife got home and informed me she needed my help at the Sixth Grade Social at the Junior High School. I got roped into working one of the attractions. I don't know what it was called, but it was a big inflatable thingie with two running lanes separated by an inflatable wall. Each lane had a harness attached to elastic ropes, and the goal was to see how far you could run and place a marker on the wall before the ropes snapped you back.

It was hilarious! And fun, too - until the rowdy eighth-graders crashed the party. I had to go all macho on them, but it was all good. I can still scare the crap out of eighth-grade boys, LOL.

After the party, we went to a Japanese steakhouse for food and much-deserved Mai Tais. I got to sleep somewhere around 11:00.

Saturday morning began dropping the dog off at the groomers, the going to an 8:00 AM Men's Ministry meeting at church. I am the newly-elected (read: volunteered) Outreach Director. My job is to publicize our events. I already have the marketing campaign. It's going to be a series of signs and ads that say: "MEN - For a good time, call 281-xxx-xxxx". Of course, it will ring an answering machine. I'm looking for a sexy-voiced woman to voice the message. So far, my wife has declined. sad

After that meeting it was off to the gym for a killer workout. I'm still sore, but that's the way I like it.

I picked up my daughter from the morning birthday party, and let her go to a friend's house, where they spent all day shopping for the evening Halloween party. Girls rule the world, no doubt about it.

I brought lunch home to my son, who was unfortunately too sick to play in the final Pony League baseball game of the season that afternoon. I went anyway, and coached first base. The weather was brilliant. There is nothing I love more than a real baseball game in the sunshine. We won, and finished the season undefeated.

I got back home around 5:00 and watched some football with my son, played my guitar, and did a little cleaning. My wife got home and we made dinner. Then she, me and our son watched "Blades of Glory". Man, is that a funny movie! Our daughter got home from the party around 11:00, and I finally hit the sack around midnight.

Sunday morning found me at the church bright and early. I had to totally rebuild the Youth Praise Band's stage, as all the amplifiers, monitors and knick-knacks had been unplugged and moved. I don't know who does that or why, but at least I'm learning about how all the electrical stuff works.

Then I ran the light show for the 9:30 service, which I do every week. I usually play guitar with the Youth Praise Band at 11:00 before going to my Sunday School class, but this week the guy that does the lights at 11:00 was out, so I ran the lights for that service, too.

After church, we bought sandwiches and rode our bikes to a park for a picnic. My son was supposed to play football with friends (miraculous recovery!) so he didn't go. The picnic was great, the weather was incredibly perfect.

When we got home, my son's football game never materialized, so I threw the football with him for awhile as the Texans were getting pummelled by the Chargers. I played more guitar, too. Also, we helped my daughter practice for her modeling agency agent review next week. We worked on her acting and dancing routines. I think we have the next Hannah Montana - we'll know more in a week!

We had a friend over for dinner and my wife made meatloaf. All the frivolities ended about 9:00, and we had our traditional Ping Pong tournament. My son beat me 2 - 1 for the first time ever, so that ended the night on a good note (for him).

My wife and I went to bed, and as the Boston Red Sox got the last out and won the World Series, I fell asleep.

All in all, it was kind of a slow but enjoyable weekend.

Wow!!! I've wanted to go to that Body exhibit but I haven't had the chance to. Yeah, San Jose is very boring, at least to me it is.

It was $20 to get into the expo. It was really cool.

Drove up to San Francisco, my hometown (now living in Rural California).

Friday:
Hung out with two friends still in College. We were all on the college paper/website a year ago (they still are). Talked about journalism and the unfair politics behind it. Watched Coffy and Bowling for Columbine and had some bomb-ass pizza.

Saturday:
Spent most of the night hanging out with my aunt and my niece and watched a Suite Life of Zack and Cody marathon. (I know I'm too old for that, but that show is funny)! Later on I hung out with my boyfriend. Went to a bar (blue moon, the best beer ever) and then went home at watched Degrassi High on DVD till 4 am!

Sunday:
Had some delicious Thai food in North Beach. My grandma bought me a new flat screen TV. Watched more Degrassi and topped it off with some Law and Order. The worst part was the three-hour drive back home. No matter how many times I do it, it never gets any easier.

friday went to rob zombie concert where everyone came in costume
i went as a dead bride with a bullet hole to my forehead.
no one asked but my fiance caught me with the best man cool
drinks were crazy expensive and were mostly ice confused
but all in all a great time! (even with the pantyhose debacle)

saturday my aunt surprised me so with ringing ears and minus
the bullet hole i went for lunch with her. then napped because
i'm an old fart that doesn't do well staying up till 3 anymore.
then finished laundry and watched my friend's flat screen tv
while they are away. i'm babysitting the house while they are at disney.

sunday cleaned. i had lost my phone card so i had to do something.
got rid of huge dust bunnies around the tv and stereo. then cleaned out 5 pumpkins
and brought up the halloween decorations. carved jack from nightmare
before christmas into one pumpkin. coincidentally he was the best
costume at the concert. tall and gangly, he had had a suit made just like
the characters and had the perfect shaped head for it too. lol
doveShe couldn't stop crying 'cause she knew he was gone to stay dove

Saturday, I had lunch with Scientologist vegans. That was interesting.

Sunday, I was supposed to go out on a boat with a buddy of mine, but that got postponed due to slightly raining weather.

Overall it was a great weekend. Did some catching up with old friends, received the sweatest notecard from a dear friend of mine, and jumped in and out of the org.

Had anyone changed a bathroom sink before? I need some advice if you have.

I am happy you were able to celebrate your mom's birthday. Parents are so special. We should all remember to treat the time we have with them as a gift. Mine are gone.

I saw the Body's exhibit before it left Tampa. Very interesting nod

Hmm. Maybe I'll go this weekend.

I remember that it was expensive to get into though...but something you will probably never see again.

You met Kat? How cool is that! What I wouldn't do to get a tattoo from her. nod

My weekend was filled with movies, and baseball! Wahoo to the Red Sox! giggle
