My Dad was interviewed on NPR! My dad, Leon May, was chosen to have a small portion of his interview for the StoryCorps Griot initiative--a project which seeks to record personal histories for national archival--aired on National Public Radio. We're so proud! He was interviewed by my sister, Dr. Angela May.
It's very short--he talks about his experiences being one of the first black Marines back in WWII. http://www.npr.org/templa...d=16257517 And for the PRINCE connection--for those of you Detroiters who may have remembered Prince's Musicology tour at the Palace on Father's day: my dad got a personal invite on stage by Prince to dance early in the show, all by himself! He was all over the big screens! [Edited 11/13/07 17:49pm] | |
