This thread needs the Hitman!
Honestly I'll never forgive Bret Hart for not working on his mic skills cause he and Shawn Michaels were probably the best in-ring performers the biz will ever see. Bret especially always told a story of struggle in his matches and for that he always mean more than Hogan, Austin or the Rock. Favourite Wrestlers: Hitman Shawn Michaels (He seems like a piece of shit as a person though) Scott Hall (Far from the best wrestler but what charisma! THe Rock ripped off his punching style too) British Bulldog (I wish WWF hadn't fired him in 92 cause he was so over as a face at that point and he was never a singles face after that, really solid wrestler) Scott Steiner (Although he sometimes stuttered and stammered in his promos it didn't matter cuz you always got the impression he was a genuine loose cannon with the Largest Arms in the World! plus he was a great wrestler, wish him and Bret had had a feud in WCW) Kurt Angle (Surprised everyone I think with how good he was on the mic from the very beginning) Kevin Nash (Fucking lazy in the ring but he always sold his offense perfectly measuring every attack) Raven (great on the mic, one of the best but a really sloppy in ring performer) Saturn (always a pleasure to watch that guy work, a dude you could tell knew how to fight, same with Steve Blackman) Owen Hart (the only thing that stopped this guy from main eventing consistently was his lame punches and whiny voice) Yeah I loved wrestling as a kid, it's what got me interested in martial arts and performing in general. When I watch it back again now I think it could be so much better with much tighter choreography, better acted promos and more intelligent storylines. I haven't seen any since 2001 the death of WCW was the nail in the coffin though to be honest it had been boring since 99. I never had much access to the TV shows but would religiously search for new PPVs at my local video stores. [Edited 10/27/07 19:14pm] [Edited 10/27/07 19:16pm] [Edited 10/27/07 19:21pm]

Oh yeah was I the only one who never interested in the T&A content of WWF (the Vince Russo led era of WCW to a lesser extent also). I just always found it boring and would rather of seen a decent build up of a feud or a match instead.
It's sad being a wrestling fan cause so many of them died in the last few years.

He's giving TNA alot of potential "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

You're right about Nash, no one could sell not being afraid of anyone or anything quite like Nash. I wish they had done his feud with the Giant better, like made sure Giant kept his weight down so Nash could powerbomb him. Funny thing about the Giant, he never worked out, his metabolism was so slow that he didn't lose his muscle mass if he didn't work out but it was hard for him to keep his fat down.
I was surprised by that sting hogan match, Hogan actually wrestled a little bit. Could of been better though. My favourite Sting\Hogan match moment was their rematch after Starcade when Hogan jumped him and was whipping and choking him with his belt constantly saying "Who's the Man Sting? Tell em who's the Man Sting! TELL EM STING!" The only other thing Hogan did that was nastier was when he handcuffed Flair to the ring ropes and kicked his son's ass. "You gotta be the man to beat the man Flair!" Whilst Flair was looking genuinely distraught Was the Shockmaster thing where Earthquake came in and fell over on the runway or something? What's TNA like? It looks pretty second rate to me but I've only seen a few short clips on the net. I mean a six sided ring? Does that even work?

Oh yeah last feud I was really interested in was Steiner\Goldberg. That was cool, I was rooting for Steiner but it was awesome when Goldberg stood up in the Recliner and dumped Scotty. Who could do that to the Genetic Freak except for Goldberg? They could of done so much with that feud, Steiner getting increasingly insane cause the Genetic Freak couldn't get over "The Man". I think they dropped this feud in favour of Steiner\Booker. Booker was cool but they way they just inserted into Main Event Status wasn't cool. Granted he should of been pushed in 99 but that's the same with Steiner he could of been main-eventing by early '99.

The six sided ring works REALLY well, especially during the cruiserweight/x division matches. You should Jay Lethal aka Black Machismo The guy acts and LOOKS like vintage Macho Man Randy Savage except he's black TNA was weak for a long time but with Sting, Kurt Angle, Kevin Nash, Team 3D(The Dudleys), The Steiner Brothers(REUNITED!!!) Jay Lethal, and others, it's getting ALOT better and Spike TV just gave it a 2 hour timeslot so they have more room for matches and storylines. Sting and Hogan's matches were always pretty bad. Have you read Eric Bishoff's book? Hogan and Sting had some real issues before the Starrcade match, one being that Sting had basically stopped working out during the 15 months he didn't wrestle(he was really slim during the match) and Hogan felt Sting wasn't serious about the match. After reading the book, I liked Sting more because he was the ONLY one who didn't cause problems for the company. He never left, he never complained, and he never asked for more money, which was why Eric has so much respect and love for him. Sting is a real class act. here is the Shockmaster video we're talking about: http://www.youtube.com/wa...RZ5aQQ886I Scott Steiner is one of my all time favorites. The Steiner Brothers are fueding with Team 3D now and it's a really good one. He's just too cool "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. Yeah I'm thinking about getting EZ E's book, I had wondered about Sting's weight loss, I assumed he had been on the juice prior and just stopped. Of all the guy's in WCW they gave booking power to I thought Bret Hart was the one who would of used it to the company's advantage. He knew the biz inside and out and every idea he came up with sounded great, like what he wanted to do at WM '97, the leg break victory over HBK which would of cemented his place as no longer the top Face and started the transition to other guys. I would of loved to of seen the Goldberg\Hart feud they wanted to do in early '99. The spear onto the chest plate thing was a really cool segment "Your wanna put together a match with Stone Cold? I beat that guy everytime I stepped in the ring with him". Unfortunately of course Owen died and Bret took time off. Apparently he was on his way to do a spot on the tonight show with Goldberg when he got the news.
I heard about that Jay Lethal dude and I know Macho approves so that must be cool. So is Sting still going? I heard he retired recently.

He just lost the TNA World belt to Kurt Angle on Thursday. Their fued is really good. Kevin Nash is involved also. He may retire at the end of the year "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

A Statement From Lex Luger To His Fans Around The World
"First, I want everyone to know that I truly appreciate all of the prayers & support. People ask me at the hospital, How are your spirits so good? I tell them because I have Jesus Christ in my life. The doctors are absolutely puzzled on how this happened, and if it is going to be permanent. They did see inflamation in the x-ray around a disk near the spinal cord." "I want everyone to continue to pray that God's will be carried out through this time. If God's plan for me is to be a paraplegic, then I am seriously happy with that. God is in control, and since he is the creator, and I am the creature, then why should I question His decisions?" "Finally, I want you all to know that life is fragile, and we need not to take it for granted. Life is a Gift from God, and we must live everyday for him dude. Think about this for a minute, if you drive a Ford (or any car) and you put water in the gas tank, what's going to happen? You will ruin the car. When Ford designed that car, they designed it to work properly only if you put gas in the engine. It's the same with life! God made us & designed us, so if we don't fill ourselves with Christ, then our lives are not going to go the way they were designed to. That's why their is so many problems in our world. We are not filling ourselves with the one thing that makes us operate the way we designed to. Well, that's enough preaching. Thank you so much for the prayers & the continued support." "If you have any questions or you would like help support in anyway, please call my manager, Graham "Tony" Tchividjian, at (877) Lex-Luger or (954) 675-0552. Graham happens to be the Rev. Billy Graham's grandson, and he has an agency in Pompano Beach, FL called GT Agency, LLC (official website: www.GTAgency.net). He loves the Lord, and his main priority is finding ways to win people to Christ, not money." "I am going to tell everyone that they need to read Proverbs 3,4 & 6. That is why I am in such great spirits. Love you all." Blessings, Lex (Credit: www.GTAgency.net & www.MondayNightMayhem.com) "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. More news:
In a move that is not very unexpected, the WWE has released "The Masterpiece" Chris Masters. Here is the official statement from the company: "WWE has come to terms on the release of SmackDown Superstar Chris Masters. We wish Chris the best in all his future endeavors." Masters was recently suspended again for violation of the WWE Wellness policy, which was his second offense. It is unknown at this time if the release comes with another violation or another reason. We will keep you updated on this situation as more info is released. (Credit: WWE.com) ----- This Thursday night, TNA Wrestling returns to SpikeTV at 9pm with two hours of Total Nonstop Action as we prepare for the upcoming “Genesis” Pay-Per-View on Sunday, November 11! - As announced by Kevin Nash, none other than Scott Hall is scheduled to appear this Thursday night on “iMPACT!”. Is Hall in fact Sting’s mystery partner for the Genesis main event? What will happen if Nash and Hall are face-to-face once again? How will Kurt Angle react to Hall showing up? Certainly, it’s going to be a very interesting – and potentially controversial – episode of “iMPACT!” when Scott Hall returns to TNA! - Also scheduled for this Thursday night is the “Fight For The Right” tournament final as it will be Kaz taking on “The Instant Classic” Christian Cage for a shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship! - TNA Knockout Women’s Champion Gail Kim will be in singles action on “iMPACT!” as she prepares for her upcoming defense at the Genesis Pay-Per-View! - In tag team action, it will be Team 3D facing Abyss and X Division Champion “Black Machismo” Jay Lethal this Thursday night on “iMPACT!”. Will Team 3D continue their destruction of the X Division, perhaps looking to take Jay Lethal out of action? - Also on the broadcast, it will be a huge six-man tag team match as TNA World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle teams with Robert Roode and “Cowboy” James Storm to battle “The Icon” Sting, “The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe and Eric Young! - Plus, more matches will be announced for the November 11 Genesis Pay-Per-View event (Credit: TNAWrestling.com) "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them.
