18 months and no crash yet. No virus. No hack of Safari. No defrag. No... oh you get the picture. Why do my friends by Windows machines? They are cheaper. False economy I tell them buy hey it's their money.

Mac all the way for me. Oh, and they look lovely I love my macbook in a way I've never loved a collection of silicon and plastic, but mine definitely does crash! Last week my trash crashed. My pc recycle bin has never crashed Occasionally Firefox decides to crash for no reason other than it seems to feel like it, but it does restore itself straight away. Other than that, no spyware updates, no anti virus updates and Iphoto '08 is SUBLIME. Never ever on the pc have I enjoyed managing my photos! I'll get me a Leopard upgrade I think but probably a few months after launch so any wrinkles can be ironed out. "Sheeeeeeeeit" | |

I  my 12" PowerBook G4. It's over 3 1/2 years old and continues to serve me very well. I'll be sad when I have to replace it, because Apple no longer makes a professional-grade laptop that small.
Why is a Mac better than a PC? That's like asking why a BMW is better than a Chevrolet. Both will get the job done, but it's obvious that the Bimmer has better engineering, has better build quality, and is much more fun to drive.
