Where everybody knows your name! Are you a regular at a bar or resteraunt where the owner knows your name? I went into my local Indian resteraunt for a take away yesterday and he wrote down 'Davies' before I even placed my order. Are you known at your local establishment?! There's Joy In Expatriation.

Oh yeah. Every time I go into Panera's (which is often, I'm a regular there), they say, "Hi, Nancy! Do you want the usual?" RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

One time I went to this great Irish bar I love three times in one week...
They always ask me to show my ID, but on the third time the doorman just remarked: "Oh you again." and let me in. Allow me to introduce: Ms. Onder and Mrs. Donk! (o)(o)
They now belong to BigBearHermy.

I'm not a regular at any restaurants anymore, but I used to go to this pizzeria a couple of times a week when I was younger and everyone knew me and I didn't have to say what I wanted because I always ordered the same thing, so they would just prepared it for me.
They closed it last year

Ex-Moderator | There's an asian place near my work that knows me by name cause a few coworkers and I get take out from there or eat there about once a week.
Other than that, I'm sure I'm recognized at a couple places around town, but not on a name basis necessarily. I don't really go introducing myself to people. |
