Yet another movie I just had to mention:
"Funny Games"...one extremely tense, unsettling and disturbing film... (apparently I just will not let this thread die!!)

Films don't tend to scare me (apart from the Exorcist which was well creepy,) books however...ooh! the chills.

I note that The Fog, The Thing, Halloween, Prince Of Darkness and In The Mouth Of Madness all got mentioned on here. This makes John Carpenter the director with the most films on this list! Everyone give it up for the master of horror cinema! Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. Anybody remember the movie where there is this dimensional doorway that lets the Devil enter our world? Something like "Prince of Darkness" or something? It was in the basement of a church, and ants would flip out when the shit would go down, etc. That was a kinda spooky flick too. You got the title right. That's the film by John Carpenter, where the Devil is an alien entity that is held captive in a church by priests. Alice Cooper has a great cameo, and Donald Pleasence chews some major scenery!

1. Deliverance (to this day, when I hear that dueling banjos song, I shudder)
2. The Exorcist (I can watch it now w/o it bothering me, but when I first saw it, I was 12...yikes! couldn't sleep for weeks) 3. Alien & Aliens (nuff said) 4. Children of the corn 5. Blair Witch. ***************************************************
Seems like the overly critical people are the sheep now days. It takes guts to admit that you like something. -Rdhull ...it ain't where ya from, it's where ya at... - Rakim
