Dan, I just want to say that I appreciate your apparent increased respect for spelling and punctuation. Though you're not 'there' yet, I won't let that get in the way for properly acknowledging your obvious efforts. Firefox spellcheck or not, kudos on the originality and colorful pen/compact disc metaphor and Googled image.
However, you're still wordier than necessary. You lose a good chunk of your audience with unnecessary lengthy introductions. But still, this is an overall improvement from your first batch of threads several years ago. I give the original post on this thread a B- for effort. Please, be especially aware of the length and relevance of your introductions. Another quick draft for spelling and length and you would have had an easy A-. -Prof. S. I found that really interesting. I was waiting for some kind of analogy using Vida Guerra's ass but at the end when it was obvious it wouldn't be forthcoming I didn't feel that cheated. Good stuff!

Hey I saw a Gamma Ray show on last night on the History channel On Mega Disaters. It was a new one.
They said there is one Gamma Ray burst every 100 seconds some where in the Universe. They are gonna show it again. At other times. http://www.history.com/sh...eId=242326 Mega Disasters Episode: Gamma Ray Burst Friday, October 26 01:00 AM Sunday, November 11 01:00 PM Scientists at the University of Kansas believe gamma ray bursts were responsible for a great mass extinction on Earth 450 million years ago. The gamma rays strip away the ozone layer and generate chemical smog, producing a widespread chill that grips the Earth. It would cause food chains to collapse resulting in a prolonged worldwide famine. Also, an expected electromagnetic pulse will zap all of our electronics. Scientists predict the Earth will be able to support only 5 to 10 percent of its current population; that means close to 6 billion people will die--most by starvation. How will our modern cities hold up in the face of a previous global catastrophe? Rating: TVPG Running Time: 60 minutes Mmmmm, Like she need the extra cleavage.
