restless sleepers?

Once upon a time, I was quite the motionless sleeper. I'd fall asleep in one position and wake up the next morning in exactly the same spot. Now, sometimes I'd flip from one side to the other (though almost always sleeping on my tummy) but that's about the extent of it.

Lately I've turned manic in my sleep or something. This morning I woke up laying practically across the width of the bed. My feet were nearly off the edge. That's not how I fell alseep. lol

Two mornings ago I woke up sleeping on my back, holding on to a bar on the headboard with one hand! (No, I wasn't having one of those dreams before you ask. redface )

What's going on here? lol

Does anyone else move around a lot in their sleep?

Unfortunately I have always been a restless sleeper. sigh

I very rarely sleep well. It's so bad that unless I take a sleep aid I won't sleep. It is really frustrating to always wake up tired.

My son is sooooo bad about moving around in his sleep. He gets in the craziest positions. Sometimes I will go to get him up and find him under the covers at the end of the bed curled up with his knees under him like in the fetal position! lol

Strange that you didn't used to be like that, but now you are? I know my sleep problems are definitely related to stress. Are you more stressed? Do you think that could be part of it?

I'm the worlds worst person to sleep next to. I don't snore as such but I take ages to settle, wriggle about a lot and often find it very difficult to sleep. sad

The only time I don't move when I sleep is when I'm dead ass tired or when I'm drunk. I wake up with horrible back pain. I sleep on my front and sometimes on my side but I almost always wake up on my back. Sometimes I move so much that half of my sheets are pulled up off the bed or my pillow is knocked on the floor.

Too much caffiene or stress perhaps? Also menstruation and lunar activity I think make a difference. (It is the 2nd or 3rd night of the harvest moon tonight is it not? A particularly strong pull I believe, but Mach will correct me smile )

I am really still and calm in my sleep, the last couple of weeks I have woken up in the early hours though, or just before my alarm goes off though, but I think thats just stress...

I move all over the place when I sleep nod I've even fallen off my bed lol But sometimes I really do sleep so soundly that people think I'm dead lol My friend used to check to see if I was breathing she said I was so quiet.

Do you ever feel like your legs need to be running when you are trying to fall asleep? I do and I hate it because even though I'm tired, that feeling amps me up and makes it hard for me to sleep.

omg, it might be!

I never, ever used to have problems sleeping. In fact, just the opposite. I could sleep forever, and sometimes I indulged myself and did. Now I wake up several times in the night and apparently think my bed is a jungle gym. lol
