I get a raise every year but I think I'd get about the same amount no matter what I do. At this point it's just covering the cost of living.

The only reason I hate job evals is because they take your demeanor into account. I hate my job: I act accordingly but I get the job done. They should be happy I even show up.

I'm not. I quit my job last Monday. I'm counting down my days.

My job is cutthroat: everyone looks for someone else to blame shit on and it's easy to blame it on me because I am the newest in the team. I was told yesterday that the owner doesn't like me and I have never had a conversation with the man in the year that I've worked there. So while my boss smiles in my face, he's probably stabbing me in the back. I cannot wait to that motherfucking place to fall like cards when I leave next month. For a bunch of men that own MBAs, they are some of the most clueless, no-running-a business motherfuckers on the planet.

If it's meaningful, then yes, it matters to me, good or bad. I've had reviews that were worthless and ones that truly assessed my performance.
Depends how much I care about the job, as well.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that the owner doesn't like you, especially when he's never talked to you face to face. You're doing the right thing by getting out of there. hug

Holy cow, you must be burned out doing all that work! Yes, it would help if your boss would defend you, but bosses, I have found, don't always do what they're supposed to do. Corporate America can be a really cold, heartless place.

It would go like this:

So Charlotte, you have done really well this year i thing you deserve a $10,000 bonus!

Wow thankyou boss Charlotte it is so nice to be appreciated, when will that show in my paycheck?

Well us here at the firm think that this is your money so we just got you cash so you dont have to pay tax on it!! Here is is in $$$$ Bills!!!

OMG that is wonderful thankyou boss! woot!

There is one provision to us giving you this bonus....you have to spend it all on yourself...do you think you can do that?

I am pretty sure i can...well on me and my org friends !

Then off you go,thanks for a great year! (HAnding over the $$$$$)

they CAN matter, if your boss takes them serious ...

which mostly he won't sad

so they don't matter ...

our forms have a question that goes like this :
How is your [put company name here] feeling ?

I've answered : what ??? 3 years in a row now lol
