I can't stand it. And isn't it a bit weird/cruel to offer a lavish last meal? It's like cat and mouse play. "We're about to fry ya, but here! Have a big bowl of mom's chili first!"  I like it. I like the one last little recognition of their humanity. . . that they have lives and loves and histories. . .that maybe, just maybe, they deserve one last positive experience of life, despite what they've done. It's still murder by the state. . . an unforgivable overreach of government power. But. . . yay for a moment of humanity tucked in there. But let's not get this sent to P&R; it's really about food.
