What would your last meal be? There's an article in Time about what chefs would choose as their last meal.
http://www.time.com/time/...52,00.html What would yours be, if you could have absolutely anything? I think I'd go for Eatin' Big At Mama's House. . . it's a meal from a local vegan restaurant. . . BBQ tofu sandwich, collard greens, hush puppies, and mac and "cheese". With a bottle of Oregon Pinot Noir. And for dessert, a soy macchiato and my grandma's homemade doughnuts. i'd order veggie korma and palak paneer from hema's kitchen, with double orders of samosas, naan and papadam and enough basmati rice to block up an elephant. i would wash it down with super pricey-fancy pomegranate juice mixed with sparkling water, and for dessert i would need an entire tray of apple brown betty with a big cup of french roast coffee, light on the cream.
damn, now i'm and at the same time.

oh my goodness. i might have to add a massive serving of baked macaroni & cheese to my last meal. and i'd have to fit one last 7-11 Big Gulp in there somewhere, heavy on the ice (chomp, chomp, chomp).

A huge garden salad, lasagne with extra sauce and cheese, toasted garlic bread (with lots of garlic), watermelon, raspberry ice tea. For dessert, a plain, warm double-chocolate brownie. [Edited 10/24/07 12:23pm]

Nothing that'll make me fart. I don't want to be laughed at during the funeral, by letting a loud, stinky fart out. It's not what I want to be remembered for.

I've read those 'last meal' pages for Death Row inmates, and it really shows how out of touch I must be with what it would feel like to know you're going to be executed; because there is no way I'd be able to swallow a bite of any kind of food, regardless of how 'at peace' I was.
If I DIDN'T know I was going to die, it'd be freshly fried salty chips with fresh cold salsa (heavy on the cilantro and garlic), a chile relleno, a plate of Mexican rice and beans, a few jalapenos, and a bottle of Cuervo with several limes OR a plate of my mom's homemade fried chicken and garlic mashed potatoes / buttered mound of sweetcorn smothered in gravy with a big glass of rice milk. :heartattack/fatass: Oh shit, my hat done fell off

Yeah, the longer you think about it, the list just grooooows. . . I'd be very tempted to start my binge with a veggie tempura roll. . . lots of soy, ginger, and wasabi. And I have to just not even think about Indian or Thai food, because there's too much to choose from. Though I'd probably end up being in a 'mood' that day and only really going for edamame and a Juice Squeeze or sumthin'. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!
