believe it or not, yes. there's a company that has a whole line of rock music re-imagined for babies (most of it alternative):

www.rockabyebabymusic.com

it's VERY odd sounding, though i guess that's what babies are into. shrug

If the parents are practical and tend to buy practical things then buy something practical and a cute toy to go with it(something fun that they would not otherwise buy), like a rattle or teether...no noisy toys parents hate toys that make lots of noise...fun shopping to you. smile

Just find out what she needs & grab it - whatever wipes she's gonna use, get a few boxes b/c they go quick. A cute daiper bag, or some jammies the kid can wear @ 6 months when all the newborn stuff doesn't fit anymore. Something practical, she probably already has all that lotion/powder shit up the yang.
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

A baby brother.
I hear that on e-Bay,
you can get one pretty cheap.
However,
you'd have to settle for it being asian.

Now don't get me wrong,
aside from their apalling whaling habits,
I have nothing against the Japanese.

There is an inflatable booster seat that parents can take to restaurants, etc. Its at Target, and it will be usable far after the kiddo grows out of those itty bitty clothes, etc. We got one, and still use it, our son is almost three--I would get it for any new parent.

Oh, and get the mom some nice lotions and stuff. She has put a lot of work into this already!

All I know is;
If ur friend already has kids, don't forget to bring a little tiny gift for these kids too. A lollypop or something so they don't feel left out.
Good luck! smile

asian baby brothers are very rare on e-bay, sisters are up for $10 or less !!

It's never too early to buy books!! It also gives the parent a clue, to read to their child.....
Go to a good bookstore, and ask what is recommended. The staff usually have specialty areas and know the hidden treasures.

When I threw a baby shower for my friend, we requested the guests give a copy of their favorite book. The guest would have to explain why it was their favorite. It was fun and really cute. She got a lot of great books.
