Transferring I-Pod music onto I-tunes

Hi, I've got a problem here and was wonderinf if anyone could help. Unfortunately, the starter files on my computer were corrupted and as such I had to take everything off my hard drive including my I-Tunes. I have them all on my I-Pod anyway but the problem is is that the I-Pod is of course no longer snyced to my computer. Is there any way I can transfer the music onto my I-Pod onto my new I-tunes without losing anything?

there's a pretty easy to load program called Senuti that will let you upload your songs from your I-Pod back onto your computer.

Just google it and you should be good to go....

i thought now i saw somewhere while browsing through iTunes preferences or maybe iPod preferences something about downloading all new files from iPod. This was just a few days ago.

it's not too difficult to do this.

1. install itunes

2. plug in ipod but DO NOT SYNC!

3. go to ipod settings within itunes and enable disk mode

4. go to windows explorer->tools->folder options->view->check the 'show hidden files and folders' button

5. your ipod should now show up as a drive in explorer e.g. E: - find the main music folder on the ipod and copy to your desktop. The music will not be organised in any meaningful way and the file names will appear to be junk but don't worry about that.

6.in itunes go to 'add folder to library' and select the folder on your desktop

7. in itunes go to 'advanced' and 'consolidate music' to move everything into your itunes library folder

8. sync the ipod now and say ok when you get the warning that it's sync'd with a different library

voila, hey ho you're sorted wink

Yes, as opposed to me: -

1. Plug your ipod in and press SYNCH

2. Oh shit...

lol

(I'm laughing because it was six months ago, I can laugh now.)

No, I'd backed up purchased music on an external hard drive - but I'd changed computers when I made that error, so all cd's that I'd loaded on were gone...very trying. In fact I only just uploaded them on the weekend - I just couldn't face it before!
