I wanted to own a bar. I was even so very close to it, but my partner let me down. It would have led me to a totally different path.

What about you?

From the 8th grade through college, I wanted to be a broadcaster (radio only). I lived at my high school and college radio stations.

Never worked in a station after college.

You mean airplane? Or aeroplane?

Why is it some mothers insist on their kids being pilots, doctors or surgeons? smile

I wanted to be a singer/dancer on Broadway..... rolleyes

Never made it to Broadway, however I have been in a few East coast troupes....but that was long ago.

Now I am Manager of Legal Administration for a major global battery manufacturer. lol

Pretty far removed, I would say.

When I had my daughter at 22 years old, I changed my career path then. I always wanted to leave the Indianapolis market. I never wanted to work in radio here so I changed up. I need to get the bills paid so I did retail management briefly, started volunteering at an AIDS Service Org and got a job as a program director and I've been working in social service ever since. I never thought about going back. Bloggin' and writing helps me to get that creative thing out of me that radio provided.

did you really want to know all of that....lol.

i always wanted to either be an egyptologist, or be in an orchestra. the orchestra thing went to hell when my parents sent me to a high school with no music program (until my nagging got the administration to start one my junior year lol), and wouldn't let me take private lessons. my interest in egyptology turned into a wider interest in art history, and that's what i'm doing now. shrug i love it, but i think if i'd been more strict with myself and kept doing music i could've made a career out of it. oh well.
