This is outside the Royel Opera house in London, I love this sculpture.

I know it's a classic, and its just two people kissing but the statue "in the flesh" is as fantastic as any statue could ever be. Any of Rodin's works are incredibly moving, this one does something to the very fabric of my soul.

It's by Barbara Hepworth. I believe that the sculpture is currently in storage at Bolton Museum and is going to be repositioned somewhere safer.

I was always so confused why they'd decided to depict this scrawny little man with such an athletic body, until I realized that it was a representation of his literary muscles. Then suddenly I got a whole new appreciation for it, and think it's pretty cool for that reason.
