The Beacon,Waffle House, and The Varsity are more well known, but still tasty. drool They've been featured on food shows, like Diners,Drive Ins, and Dives and Turner South. This local place called The Caravan is pretty good too.

This place is not so much a greasy spoon, it is more where you can find me any given sunday morning on the outdoor deck, reading the paper, drinking my coffee, eating my favorite pancakes!! It is called "The Brown Pelican" and as seen in the pics, it is on the beach about 5 minutes from my house. It is my favorite place to grab a bite and relax. They serve, breakfast, lunch and dinner..and even have a snack bar on the side, in case you are coming straight off the beach! sun cool

What's a "greasy spoon"? Just a seedy restaurant?

Seeing that it was you that started the thread I figured it might be some kind of advanced sexual position. Spooning...with grease? lol

A cafe with simple, greasy comfort food. It usually refers to a place that serves breakfasts, primarily. Best after a long night of drinking, etc. lol

Aah, those! Well in that case mine is Joyfull (don't you just love Japanese spelling?). Great food (especially the Yakiniku set), great service and unlimited soft drinks. It's too bad it's all the way over in Iwata. pout

THE MINI GOURMET is my favorite place to have breakfast. I go there once a week, usually on Sundays. It's open 24 hours a day and it's wonderful after a fun night out. It's not fancy at all but the service and the food is great. I'm a regular and it's nice to come in and the staff greets me and asks how I'm doing.

What and where is your favorite eatery/greasy spoon/guilty pleasure restaurant?

Hey, is that Valley Med?
