Uhhhhh ummmmm god I can't stop thinking about him.

FOOD! YES! Umm, the carbonara was to die for, I had a fish stew that was a lot of effort (peeling shrimp, opening clams etc.) but it was phenomenal. Also a seafood linguine that was great...really everything I ate was great. Calzones, pizza, eggplant....it tastes a lot more fresh than in the states. They don't use all the preservatives that we do.

Wow I'm getting compliments from a professional photographer! woot!

Lesli used to be a photographer a while back. She taught me how to use my camera so as the roll goes on they get better and better.

Beautiful pictures. And the glasses were a sound investment, too!

How did you endure the flight? I'd love to go, but the thought of the flight makes me dizzy.

Thanks for sharing these, I've got to get there. How long were you there for total?

The pics all just seem surreal, like most places in Europe, timeless.

Sausage vending machines falloff

You are so damn fine, I'm not sure why you weren't attacked by the Italians but instead, just the Brit. That seems weird.

lol I was there for 2 weeks. It didn't really hit me that I was in Italy until I saw a little old lady open shutters to her balcony and just stare outside. It was sooo surreal.

Oh the Italians were trying to bait me, I just didn't grab the hook. Just one the first night I was there but I was wasted. He was dressed up as Julius Ceasar lol

Oh and I forgot to mention, the first club we went to in Italy blasted Prince all night! Chelsea Rodgers, Kiss (version I never heard before) You got the look, erotic city....I was in my glory. It was hysterical listening to all the Italians sing Prince in broken English! lol

Sounds like you had a blast. So, how does EU compare to US? What did you totally fell in love with, besides horny Brits and what did you absolutely hate?

I loved the architecture, food, the history, the oldness of it all. I hated the Euro and the way people drove. I found it to be less convenient than the US. I don't want a tiny shot of expresso, I want a large American coffee with skim milk and splenda TO GO. I also didn't like that you could smoke everywhere, it made me smoke a LOT more and I stunk really bad after getting out of a club. The absolute worst part? The body odor.

No offense to any Europeans. I just encountered lots of smelly armpits. ill

Wow, no wonder you were asked to walk the catwalk. Beautiful from all angles. nod

Cool that you manage to catch a Torino derby! How many people did you have to kill to get tickets?

Aww thanks, although I think that I look like a dork in most of those!!!!

Funny story about the tickets. Of course we were hanging out with thugs from Torino and they helped us get the tickets. Lesli bought one from some guy and he went to grab her beer and she flipped out on him. So he took her ticket and gave her money back. 3 days later we here a guy yelling out a car window "AMERICA FUCK OFF!" and it was him lol It's just not custom for us to share our beers with strangers, it wasn't her fault! We ended up finding 4 tickets 60 euro each...a little steep but we really wanted to go!

It's not customary to share beer with strangers here either. Maybe he was trying to slip her a roofie!

The guys that were with us said that sometimes they do that. Dave actually got upset with Lesli for not sharing it!!

Awesome pics, Carrie.

1) Those sunglasses sure look stylish, set against those Italian landscapes. giggle

2) What kind of camera do you have? The night pics turned out wonderfully, too.

Thank you! I use a little panasonic digital camera...I can't remember what kind it is I'll have to look when I get home. It's really basic but has different settings for scenery, portraits, close up etc. I enhanced some of them with photoshop but not much.

Thanks Julie!!! I do feel VERY fortunate to have been able to experience this. All my life I had wanted to travel and finally I've been given the opportunity to do so! I've been to so many places in the past 2 years, but going to Europe topped it all!

I hope to visit Greece next year. I have a friend who lives there who is getting married in August and I really want to attend her wedding.

These pictures are gorgeous and so are you. love

My favorite is the same one Byron picked. Just stunning.

That kinda freaks me out a little though. A house on a bridge just jutting out over the water like that. lol Yeah I'm weird...I know it.

I don't like traveling across bridges at night. boxed

If that was my house, I would be too sacred to go out on the balcony! boxed
