I like the narrative and the Tim Burton feel to it, though I think its going to get tired cause it seems to already be the same type of episode over and over again.

It has potential, Time will tell.

I wanted to like it but I didn't care for it. Trying to be to weird like twin peaks (yeah I know there are people there who like that show, I don't) The narrative was just to much, shut up already and let the actors talk already.

I love love love it! Then again, I like quirky shows. It's beautifully shot, lots of rich colors, great set designs and costumes. And so far I like all of the characters...we need to see more of the Aunts definitely. I do like the premise...more so the figuring out the who done it than the romance part. I don't know how long they can sustain that part. As long as they keep the intimate one on one interactions down to a minimum I think it can work.

I am loving this show and Reaper...proably the best show you are not watching. I have already given up on Bionic Woman and still seeing where Dirty Sexy Money goes to see if I will keep watching.

I never have seen Bionic Woman. I watch PRIVATE PRACTICE..but I like the quirky-ness of PUSHING DAISIES. Its very different. The show doesnt take itself too seriously. It reminds me of UGLY BETTY

I think Pushing Daisies will be cancelled soon.

That depends on how much the ratings drop off in the next few weeks. The first episode won its time slot and was #14 for the week.

I like it. I agree that it looks like a Tim Burton TV show which may be why. It's the only new show I'm watching.

Indeed it is. But considering what was offered up this season, can't blame the critics for liking this. If it had come out last year, I think it may not have made it. Or maybe it would have. ABC now has 3 shows that are very colorful and that have a lot of whimsy to them...Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives and now Pushing Daisies.

What's interesting is that critics love the show, but if you look at the user ratings on metacritic, a lot of people hate it. Very few people are in the middle.

Yes the critics do love it. Probably because it's unique in many aspects. The gen public though doesn't like quirky as a whole. I think that since it's on a Major station, it should do well. If it was on FOX, it'd be cancelled with the quickness.

We normally will designate 2 -3 evenings for shows/movies. So, like on Mon with be DH and Heroes and Wed we'll watch Pushing Daisies and Reaper. We're also plowing thru the 4400 season discs so we'll put one of those on in the mix.

Based on the ratings for the past two weeks, it looks like Pushing Daisies will be around for a while. It was barely edged out by Deal or No Deal in overall viewers but led the ratings in the 18-49 demographic. It beat out Kid Nation by 3 million viewers and Back To You by 3.5 million viewers.

As for other shows, it looks like the following will be picked up for full season orders:

Private Practice
Bionic Woman
Gossip Girl
Reaper

These shows are struggling, but the networks will probably try to stick with them, either because they want to build up a cult following or they are cheap to produce:
