I know what you're saying but I don't like the way it encorauges certain folks to be malicious behind people's backs.

I dont think they are, i think that they would totally say those things to their faces but this site is full of weak ass pussies that cant deal face to face and just report when they get anyone stand up and say "no more" then it gets so you actually cant say anything without people getting pissy and reporting so if you say it like this the only people that know are the ones involved.

But then you could always get over it and drop it which would be the more adult think to do. Wouldnt you say?

The entire internet encourages that, tho...not to mention that some people use their sig lines to be "malicious"...some use song threads and lyrics threads to be "malicious"...some use threads about love, relationships, friendships to be "malicious"...Hell, I've had people say "malicious" things about me under that banner of anonymity. Not on the "Leave A Message" threads, but on many others over the years.

I don't think any thread or avenue encourages people to be malicious, I think they merely present opportunities. Whether or not those opportunities are taken is due solely to whatever resides inside that individual at the moment. I am a huge opponent of any thread that specifically calls for people here to "anonymously" dish dirt on other Orgers (and there have been a few that were THAT specific)...but other than that? I'll always look at the person and not the thread.

I think everyone picks a time to drop it and other times to run with it.
There comes a point when you have to stand up and say something and if the people involved have an agenda then sometimes there is no other way to vent your feelings.

Seriously mate if it bothers you i would suggest staying away from the thread would be an adult way to deal wouldnt you say?

And btw, it does sound like this is more about people being "malicious" than it is about the thread being "useless" lol smile...

heybaby

i've stopped reading them because the only person i'd leave a message to is rarely on here so it doesn't matter. as far as maliciousness i think its cop-out. If ANY orger or anybody (which i'm not aware of) has a problem with me let me know. don't be a pussy about it and be passive-aggressive. confront me like a real man or woman should.

It is heading that way I guess but my other point in that it generally makes the whole point of having Orgnotes pointless.

Well, orgnotes aren't anonymous lol...and the point of the "Message" threads IS anonymity. So the two don't really reside in the same realm...

And sometimes you want to say something complimentary or express something loving in public, for everyone to see...even if they don't actually know who those compliments and loving acknowledgements are meant for. Or you may just want to share a private joke by leaving a post for them to find out of the blue, knowing they'll smile and laugh when they do. Or maybe you just want to leave a mysterious message meant for no one and have the Org all scratching their heads as to what you mean and who it could possibly be for lol lol...Whatever, it's all good fun, and can't be duplicated in an orgnote. smile

I figure no one ever has a message for me, so I don't ever read them. The current one is 28 pages long - no way I could read all that.

So, if you left me a message, please don't think me rude if I didn't respond.

It's pretty much an open forum. One can contribute, vent, get mushy, trade inside jokes etc. or ignore it.

It would be great, if all one had to do to resolve a conflict, is to communicate via org note. Like I said, I attempted to discuss an issue by org note, and have been blocked. Which is fine. Everyone has their own life skills and dealing with problems.
