Have You gotten your Christmas lists ready yet?

I haven't gotten completely around to it, but i had my nieces and nephews make lists of the stuff they want, and then my son made a list. Still to come, I have to make Christmas cards. Yeah, I know, its early, but I like it to be that way so I can relax in December.

What about you?

We started Christmas shopping on Saturday. boxed It was unintentional, it was just supposed to be a day out, but I saw so much cool stuff. I couldn't help it. This year I want to be prepared, as I usually leave it all until the last week before Christmas when shopping is a nightmare, the shops look like they have been bombed, and the kids are like uncontrollable aliens. lol

My family has everything. I'm going to make charitable donations in my relatives' names, this year. Maybe from now on.

That's a really good idea. I would love to do something like that, but not all my friends would agree, I am afraid. Although I am speculating. Have you done this before?

i really don't get myself much for Christmas, usually i spend my shopping money on my son and seven nieces and nephews. But I got a raise at work, so this year i'm treating myself to stuff. First on my list: Ultimate Prince and then I'm gonna get the family a new car.

Nice gifts, way to go...
I didn't use to get myself anything and would get really nice stuff for the family and friends. Now I buy for my niece and for myself regularly everybody else can get their own...plus I'm not a big fan of Christmas anymore so.

<--- atheist sick of celebrating xmas

I'm not buying gifts specifically for xmas. Didn't last year, and the world didn't stop turning.

I'm not asking for anything either, though last year my parents planned a little Oregon coast vacation as our xmas present, which we had in June and was super fun. Probably something like that will happen again.

I'm going to be cutting way back on my spending this year. Some of my friends and I have decided to have a get together and let the food we bring be our gifts. I think my mom is just going to give money this year, which always comes in handy.

ThreadBare, I think the charitable donation is a great idea!

Have you shared this idea with your relatives and they will participate too?

Mine is much shorter this year too, thankfully. My friends and I have decided to have a night out instead of presents. Time with each other is more precious than silly gifts.

I have a huge family so there is no way I could ever get everyone a gift, so I just get gifts for my parents, brothers, daughter and a couple of people I get from gift exchanges I participate in
