Your perceptions shape your reality...and your emotions most definitely shape your perceptions of what's being said or what's being done. The reality of what's actually being said or done then becomes secondary in importance...validating your emotions then becomes the top priority, not validating your perceptions. It's now more important for your emotions to be validated than for your perceptions to be correct. I imagine adding the effects of alcohol/drugs to this situation would make everything that much worse, yeah...
And if none of what I just said has anything whatsoever to do with this thread, screw it...  | |
