help with the SONY nw300 MP3 player

i have an applemac over here in nz and have lost my connect disc/software therefore i havent downloaded any new music on my mp3 player for up to 1`8months....

is it possible??

ive also just ordered a new battery from britain for which will hopefully give me more than an hours battery life!

could i go to a mates house-borrow his computer and download CONNECT? or do i need the disc?
