Ok, I'm just a pretty casual rugby fan (though I do love to watch the internationals), so I'm not going to claim any great knowledge of the game, but isn't it funny how a struggling, and in many quarters frankly shit England team (by most accounts) suddenly can be capable of beating top teams with just those extra, say, 6 or so points on the board having a fit Johnny Wilkinson automatically means? That's so often the difference between winning and losing. Such a fine line between a loss and a win, regardless of overall performance, and ever since I've been following England, maybe for 12 years now, we've never been a team to score a whole lot of tries. We rack up the points with kicks and JW makes all the difference.

And while I'm here, wasn't it nice to see the French and English actually getting on after the quarters, showing some northern hemisphere solidarity? Superb!
