Oh course it's scary. I have a large window right over my bed and that's very freaky. But meh, there's not much I can do about it until I am in a position to move. Having a dog as a deterrent makes me feel a little better.

Dogs. mushy What have you got?

Little white things with a big bark are good enough for me.

in summer i sleep with my doors open. shrug
i grew up on the farm where we only ever locked the doors if we went away on holiday.
but someone obviously bumped the lock there a few years ago like someone said, if someone wants in, they will get in.

i feel relatively secure because of the neighborhood although am still relieved
when i come home like i did last night and find everything still in place.
if you wanted to break in to my place it wouldn't be hard. and i'm not sure how
much can be done if you are burgled. the only reason the guy who broke in to my
parent's house spent any time in jail was because he still had my mother's cheque
blanks in his possession when he evaded a police checkstop in quebec.

Most of the time my doors are unlocked

My garage door is open most of the time for the barn cat we keep as a mouser

In my area it is common for people to walk right into someones house without knocking, I'm not ok with that though

I am not secure and living alone makes me feel uneasy at times. I am not losing sleep over it... but if I ever do in the slightest... I am moving immediately.

I do not like the outside area in which I live, actually I do not like this city... I do not like this metropolitan area...

I am going to buy a gun and get licensed to carrying a consealed weapon.

Mach

9 1/2 times out of 10 our doors are unlocked

If someone with bad intentions comes all the way up this mountian then our driveway as well a locked door is not going to stop them

I feel safe 9 1/2 times out of 10 where I live

hell we leave the keys in our cars at night shrug

If somebody really, really wants to break in, any window can easily become an open door with the aid of a brick.

Being that I'm a free spirit,
I don't have to worry about such things.
I live in what some might refer to as a modern-day hippy combine.
Others might prefer the term crackhouse.

Well.. we are pretty "secure" regarding home security. We don't have a "panic room" or an alarm system, but we have very secure locks as well as three very loud dogs.. including but not limited to our new puppy. He's so very cute and LOUD.

Now one of friends is a peace officer.. And he has notes posted on all the windows through his house that he's armed and dangerous (which he is), so thieves enter at their own risk. He's a gun collector and practices quite frequently at a shooting range.. So I'm just sayin, he ain't kidding. eek

In his defense, when as a youngster, he was robbed at gunpoint while working at a local pizza joint, then locked in a storage room. So.. I think he means what he says...

I walked home tonight and passed one of the neighbour's homes. It had a bullet hole in the window.

I really don't know.

I need to pee.
