Do you feel pathetic when you're sick?

I caught a horrible cold over the weekend. I went in to work yesterday as I was coming back after over a week vacation and you simply don't call in sick after that. But my co-worker was yelling at me to go home after just a few hours of work with all my sneezing and coughing. So I left an hour or so early. I rested all evening but had a really hard time sleeping. I kept waking up with pressure headaches and such. So I called in today. My head is still all stuffy, I can barely hear as my ears are clogged up, etc.

I'm out of kleenex already, so I've been carrying a roll of toilet paper around the house with me. neutral And I'm still in my pajamas.

You still pulled yourself together and went to work though, which is what most women do. When men get sick we stay in bed and feel like we're dying and just want to be pitied. lol

See, that's the thing! lol I'd love to be all, someone come take care of me! But it's just not in my nature. I always feel like if I don't care of myself, no one will. So I suffer through.

There is no way I'm going to work sick. lol
I don't feel pathetic so much as I get annoyed that I'm actually taking a sick day to be sick, instead of just playing hookie. It's like a waste day lying around and feeling ick.

Hope you feel better hug before this weeks Minneapolis Invasion pt.2
If you're not better by Friday, please let me know--I can arrange a hotel room.

I'm very rarely ill. I got the odd common cold now and again but when I do I usually grin and bear it. I'm not one to cause a fuss.

Here is what is pathetic when I am sick, I can not call in sick to work because I need to "save my sick days" for when one of my 3 girls is sick. I can be sick as a dog and look like something the cat dragged in. But I still put on a healthy face, I'll pile on make-up, hold my sneeze, pretend I am focusing on what I am doing, anything to not "waste" a sick day on myself, as too be able to stay home when one of my girls is sick. sad Sad actually.

This is why I only do hookers.

They never get sick.

Seriously.
When was the last time you ever saw one with a head-cold or the flu?

I bet crack-cocaine must be full of eight-essential anti-oxidents or something.

I feel quite pathetic.

And if I have to call in sick from work, I feel guilty and pathetic. Most other folks can call in sick, even when not sick, with no problem. I sit home feeling like I'm letting my team down. So, in most cases, I have to be on my deathbed to call in. Unless, I'm naseous. Nausea just kicks my ass. I can do nothing but lie in a fetal position and whine incessantly.

Oh I'm quite pathetic when sick. I usually trudge through it though. Kids never let you off the hook if you're sick. They're snacks and coloring and whatnot is way more important than the fact that I can barely walk cause I have 103 degree fever. lol

That's awful! sad

I am really not sure what is happening with me at the moment, something is just really, really wrong. I just feel it even though I don't know what it is.

I have a cold, not a full on flu. It must have been the 4 seasons that I experienced in one weekend.

I do feel pathetic if it's hot and I have the flu. Ughhh!!
