Without Twin Peaks we would have no Lost, Northern Exposure, X-Files and numerous others...

far more deserving.

But it was on for such a small period in TV history, that it's impact was really only on cult TV.

X-Files and Lost are cult shows? The creators of Lost have gone on record saying that Twin Peaks influenced their show...The fact that it was only on such a short period of time yet has had such an impact speaks for how groundbreaking that puppy was.

and oh yeah, Hi!!! wave wish I could have saw all last week. pout did carrie tell you lofgren canceled our event at the last minute? i could have killed!!! then i was seriously considering finding a cheap way out there and popped a tire and ended up spending $500 to replace two and fix my alignment. Jehovah just didn't want me out there. sad

Ahhh..Survivor! heart dancing jig

Since the Real World basically set the stage for all these reality shows...I would definitely pick Real World over Survivor as "Most Influential" (as opposed to "most popular").

Well then it would have to be put it in the 90's catergory and not in the 2000's catergory. So if not survivor then what other show that started in 2000 and after would you choose as most inflential show of the 2000's. Lets don't forget that COPS started 3 years b-4 the real wolrd.

X-Files and Lost are most definitely cult shows...they happen to have larger followings than most. In many interviews with those behind the scenes, they are contantly mentioning that it is viewed as a cult show. With the way many of the fans act...it certainly seems quite cultish biggrin
