Based on the ratings for the past two weeks, it looks like Pushing Daisies will be around for a while. It was barely edged out by Deal or No Deal in overall viewers but led the ratings in the 18-49 demographic. It beat out Kid Nation by 3 million viewers and Back To You by 3.5 million viewers.

As for other shows, it looks like the following will be picked up for full season orders: thumbs up!

Private Practice
Bionic Woman
Gossip Girl
Reaper

These shows are struggling, but the networks will probably try to stick with them, either because they want to build up a cult following or they are cheap to produce: beg

Chuck
The Big Bang Theory
Journeyman
The Singing Bee
Cane
Back To You
Kitchen Nightmares
Life
Dirty Sexy Money
Don't Forget The Lyrics

I predict these shows will be cancelled very soon (unless the Writers Guild goes on strike): dead

Cavemen
Carpoolers
Big Shots
Women's Murder Club

typing

Never heard of Carpoolers or Women's murder club b-4 so yeah thats a good indication they may get cancelled.

lol That hasn't even premired yet!

Cane
Journeyman
Chuck

all got orders for more shows.

sigh I miss the days where you were at least guaranteed a full season good or bad. At least then a show could either prove itself or not. It's strange to see a series yanked after just 2 episodes. I mean why even air it or green light it in the first place?

If a show does not do good they take it off the air right away and the only way to watch it is on-line.

I haven't really been knocked over by anything this season. Nothing seems to have hit the ground running like last years Heroes.

The last thing I really liked was Mad Men.

DH has picked up well this season after the boring last two. I like the competition between Bree and Whatshername, Hell even the Susan storyline seems enjoyable this yr,but I could care less bout another cancer storyline, or the Murder mystery thing. Hopefully the Gay couple will keep it light and frothy.

Looks like I wont be having an affair with the TV until The new Battlestar Galatica: Razor spin off, and then the final season.

I think Women's Muder Club will be Dead On Arrival. It's gotten terrible reviews.

here's the ratings on the show's premeire last night:

At 9 p.m., the premiere of "Women's Murder Club" did a 7.3/13, the night's highest rating, handily winning the hour and taking viewers away from CBS' "Moonlight" (4.6/8) and NBC's "Friday Night Lights" (3.6/6), which both also finished behind FOX's baseball for the hour. The CW's wrestling remained stable.

I thought last night's WOMENS MURDER CLUB was decent...I thought MEN IN TREES was MUCH better than it though

I love love love it! Then again, I like quirky shows. It's beautifully shot, lots of rich colors, great set designs and costumes. And so far I like all of the characters...we need to see more of the Aunts definitely. I do like the premise...more so the figuring out the who done it than the romance part. I don't know how long they can sustain that part. As long as they keep the intimate one on one interactions down to a minimum I think it can work.

I am loving this show and Reaper...proably the best show you are not watching. I have already given up on Bionic Woman and still seeing where Dirty Sexy Money goes to see if I will keep watching.

Those are some pretty decent ratings for a Friday night, and I forgot about the competition it was up against (Moonlight, Friday Night Lights, WWE Friday Night Smackdown, whatever Fox show is on at that time - doesn't matter), but I wonder whether these ratings will be sustained. At best, this seems like a rehash of Close To Home, which aired on CBS at the same time last year. CBS cancelled that show for low ratings between Ghost Whisperer and Numb3rs, but Moonlight has been tanking horribly in that same spot (maybe CBS should have kept Close To Home hmmm). At any rate, I wonder whether the ratings for Women's Murder Club will do better than what they had in that spot last year, which was Men In Trees and reruns of Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy. If the ratings do tank, they could always bring back October Road, but they may be saving that to replace Big Shots should they cancel that show soon.
