My brother was telling me about the original just last week and how I should see it. I don't think he realized that it was being remade. We were just talking about creepy movies.

I'll see the orginal and probably skip the american remake.

The tension of the elevator scene alone practically gave me an ulcer.

I agree, its the same with the other remakes, ring, dark water, etc the remakes seem to signpost the scary parts whereas the originals are low key and much more creepy

I saw the original earlier this year - scared the shit outta me.

Especially that damn elevator scene, hope they don't edit it out for this version.
