Well s/he sent you home because you were sick, and then of course you're not expected to come back until you're well again! Stubborn Carrie.... no no no!

I know.

You know, I was thinking on the way home, it's really nice to work with/for people who even care.

True. It's not something you can take for granted in the world of business.

I caught a horrible cold over the weekend. I went in to work yesterday as I was coming back after over a week vacation and you simply don't call in sick after that. But my co-worker was yelling at me to go home after just a few hours of work with all my sneezing and coughing. So I left an hour or so early. I rested all evening but had a really hard time sleeping. I kept waking up with pressure headaches and such. So I called in today. My head is still all stuffy, I can barely hear as my ears are clogged up, etc.

I'm out of kleenex already, so I've been carrying a roll of toilet paper around the house with me. neutral And I'm still in my pajamas.

Do you feel pathetic when you're sick? I hate it. pout

I'm very pathetic when I'm sick.. I make too big of a deal about it and whine for attention... (eg. posting about it on the org... lurking )

I've had a small cold, stuffy nose, snotty throat for 3 weeks now and it sucks, but I've gotten used to it.. pout

I feel quite pathetic.

And if I have to call in sick from work, I feel guilty and pathetic. Most other folks can call in sick, even when not sick, with no problem. I sit home feeling like I'm letting my team down. So, in most cases, I have to be on my deathbed to call in. Unless, I'm naseous. Nausea just kicks my ass. I can do nothing but lie in a fetal position and whine incessantly.

Come here. I'll take care of you. batting eyes
