About an 8, I'd say. It was kinda out of nowhere. It was the whole baby negligence that shocked me most. 2. She has an account ('shuggie') but has only posted a handful of times. If I weren't on here so much she'd likely roll her eyes less and post a bit more. I've kinda turned her off the org by my addiction to it.

Fauxie,
1. Whenever I go an an org hiatus, its always because I have to take care of something. I find that you are the same. Am I wrong in this? Or do you sometimes take a break cause you're just bored? 2. Most of my married friends have had to do utterly awkward things for their wives, like show up to Pampered Chef parties. What does Mon do to socially torture you? OMG, totally Freudian slip edit [Edited 10/10/07 18:54pm]

I want to be all Han Solo about this and just go "I know" but that would coincide with me being flash frozen and sold to a space slug. So I guess I'll just say thank you and I love you too. 2. 1) My complex joke was funny, huh? But do you think I'm complex? 2) Was Muse and my stay too short, too long, or just about right? I just realized we were around each other 24/7 for 3 1/2 days straight I'm NEVER around anyone for that length of time normally.

I just realized we were around each other 24/7 for 3 1/2 days straight I'm NEVER around anyone for that length of time normally. Yes, it was funny. And I think I already answered this... I don't know. I don't find anyone terribly complex, I guess. But I don't think you're simple, either. Perhaps a bit complex... It was just about right. Any shorter and we wouldn't have had the marathon last day of talking for 14 hours straight (and though I may have been quiet a few hours here and there, I thoroughly enjoyed that day). Any longer and I might have had to kick you both out of my apartment. I think we'll survive a week or more in Thailand quite well, though. And I'm looking forward to it more than ever. Sometimes groups of 3 can be awkward, but I think the 3 of us have a great dynamic that will work well for traveling. |

OMG, totally Freudian slip edit [Edited 10/10/07 18:54pm] I saw that. 1. Yes, kinda. I mean, recently I took a break for a few days because I had lots of wedding stuff going on, flights to book, hotels, visa run stuff and just needed to focus to get it done. However, I also took a break so that in the evenings I could spend more time with Mon as it was bugging her me being on the here so much. I also was a little bored with orging. Usually I take a break not because of specific things I need to do instead but rather a desire to just get off the internet in general a little. 2. Hmmm... the socially awkward moments would just be when we go out to meet her friends, many of which are still playing the field, running 2 or 3 guys at a time, and I have to meet these guys who sometimes are a bit twattish. Some Thai girls don't really see the true nature of the guys they meet (language barrier, culture differences). Things a farang picks up straight away and thinks 'seems like a decent bloke', or 'ok, this guy's a bit of a prick'. Mon always introduces me ('hey mate, this my husband, he's from England too' etc.) to drunken foreign dudes her gf's are seeing and sometimes I'd really rather not have to talk to them in the bar when I'm just chilling out. I can be quite unfriendly in those situations if I don't get a sense I'll really get anything out of the conversation. I mean, it's always different guys and they move on so what's the point?

I've never clicked on this thread before in my life - and there's a question from you. How odd... Have I had other questions in the past that I've ignored completely? 2. No. I let my utility bills slip quite regularly. EDF Energy wanted a final payment of £111 paid by last Friday as I've changed supplier recently - and I don't have £1.11 in the bank.
