omg you just reminded me, my mum wanted to call our cat "grandma" so she could call her in for dinner, or say "can you get grandma out of the tree" "let grandma out" "grandma did a big poo in the gardenbed again"

First name for my father...
Middle name for my paternal grandfather.... He was like a cock who thought the sun had risen to hear him crow.

My father and I share a first name. From what I've gathered, it's actually an Anglo-Celtic surname, derivative of a particular locale in Britain.
My middle name is an Irish version of "John" with a French prefix. Apparently, my parents were feeling a tad ghetto fab that day. [Edited 10/9/07 22:01pm] Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

First name: It's a unisex name -- and I'm the first with it in my family. My sister told me that she chose my name and my mom liked it, so boom -- there it was. And I love my name, too. Middle name: It's a masculine variation of my paternal grandmother's first name.
