I was named after Erin on The Walton's. For a woman who claims not to watch much TV, it's peculiar that my mother called me after a TV character, innit?

My middle name, Victoria, is after my dad's first name. (Victor)

My name is Valory - not sure why or how my dad came up with the spelling. There's a whole fucked up story behind my name but I am not sure where they got it fromif anything.
For the first 18 years of my life I spelled it Valerie until I saw my birth certificate that said Valory.
My parents could not agree on anything apparently.

No my mom told me how to spell it and my mom wanted it Valerie. My dad wanted Valory- he filled out the info at the hospital when I was born- I was more than a month early and mom & I were sick. So he got the birth certificate to say Valory but my mom carried on as it was Valerie.
So when I got to an age where I needed my birth certificate for establishing important things on my own I realised my mom had used white out on the BC and changed it to say Valerie. Then when I requested an official copy of my BC it said Valory.
So I had to go through and change everything to what my BC said.
She was pissed and still usually writes Val....
