Maybe I'm missing something from the initial post of this thread, but..

If a person hears about a concert & then decides to attend it, chances are that person will do what it takes to see (& enjoy) that concert..
in other words, that person makes a deliberate effort to go to that show, they get (more or less) what they want & then they go home with the memory of that show.

If, by whatever coincidence, a person happens upon a venue (with NO prior knowledge of this concert that they'd otherwise plan to see) where a concert they want to see is taking place, that person would then (presumably) be delighted to have "stumbled upon" this show & they would appreciate it for the unexpected pleasure it was..


same thing with sex, supposedly..
although, of course, I can only give my (heterosexual male) perspective on this:
a person usually has a different mentality (or mental "approach") when they know or expect that they're going to have sex..
if they don't expect it, then "come close" to getting it without actually getting it..
well, I can see someone being frustrated, but really, why be frustrated? A half hour ago, a week ago, you had no idea you'd be getting this.. "bonus"..
