DRINKING

Do you like the effects of Alcohol?

Last night an old woman who was worse for wear yelled "GAY!" at me.

I, also being worse for wear yelled

"Fuck off you dried-up loose cunt, you're good for nothing.@

Then felt bad.

But I still love drinking.

Life would be very dull without ethanol. I don't mean that in a desperate alcoholic way. But in todays horrid stressful times, there is nothing better than a glass of wine or a G&T to take the edge off and welcome on the giggles.

My days of getting paraletic every couple of days are long gone, but evenings in, dinner with friends, or alone in front of a good film or the footie.

Alcohol very much has a thoroughly deserved place in my life.

Well it was after we left Edwards, and we were still laughing about jive talking, then you starting walking with a big silly swagger like John Travolta, and I was like "oh look is that jive walking now?!" And someone must have mentioned the ministry of silly walks, because then you were showing us the jive walks from around the world, there was cambodian, and then brazilian, which was just the same but with a wiggle! falloff

This only went on for about 5 minutes, but it was good! Alcohol rocks!! lol

I very much do not like being shocked back into reality the day after when I have a 2 year old to care for.

I have never had a drug that I regretted taking, but none that I enjoyed so much as alcohol. Just beer and wine these days as I realized I was beyond my limit when drinking anything harder. Really dry red wine and very heavy beer

Ah, to quote Homer Simpson.....
"Alcohol, the cause of - and solution to all of life's problems."

I'm a drinker.
Which for the layman, is a professional term.
Which is different from being a drunk. That's an amateur.
Or from being an alcoholic. That's an addict.

My preferred drink of choice is Maker's Mark.
I love bourbon. Which for the layman, is whisky that's only made in Kentucky.
There are a host of bourbon's that i'll drink instead of Makers. Knob Creek, Bulleit, Hancock's Reserve, Blanton's, Woodford Reserve, etc.

I hate places with cheap liquor in stock. In other words, you ask for a bourbon and your choices are either Jim Beam (the worst bourbon in the history of bourbon) OR (which drives me crazy) Jack Daniels. Jack Daniels isn't bourbon.

Another pet peeve of mine, is bars or concerts that want you to drink out of plastic cups. What am i, 12? i can't drink bourbon out of a plastic cup. i mean i can, but i don't like it.

i also enjoy tequila and gin. i like martinis, but only if the bartender knows what he/she is doing. which is why i drink bourbon. most bartenders screw up martinis, so it's a little hard to screw up whisky in a glass.

i like wine, but only reds. whites give me a headache.

i don't drink beer. not because i don't like it. primarily i gave it up as part of a diet. now i don't drink it because i get full before i get a buzz, and that's annoying.

yes, my name is Ben. and i am a drinker.
