Don't be so shocked. We have quite the theatre scene here. hmph!

Second only to New York in theatre seats per capita.

And yes, it would totally be worth checking out. hmmm

Oh, no. I'm not shocked that its playing Mpls at all. I was just reading about the FREAKING AWESOME new Guthrie in a magazine, in fact. I am just excited that he is doing Lear on the road, and you guys can see him. excited I so wish that show was coming to SF.

I haven't been in to a show since the new building opened, but I've been up to the lookout over the river. GORGEOUS views. And the building is stunning. It's in a really beautiful part of downtown.

Actually, the last show I saw at the Guthrie was a few years back. redface It was Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? with Patrick Stewart and Mercedes Ruehl. It was quite good.

kinda bummy. yellow t-shirt, yellow unbuttoned shirt over that, light colored baggy slacks, messy long-ish hair, beard, glasses. i first recognized him when i passed him on the street and i thought it was some crazy old hippie weirdo, then i looked at his face and realized exactly who it was then i was all like "DAAAAANG wtf is this shit" then i gawked from a safe distance for a minute and then i had to go pee.
