Shallow "Deal Breakers" In Relationships... And I do mean "shallow" ones lol...not anything like cheating or being abusive or dishonesty or what-not...what do you think would be the shallowest deal breaker for you if everything else about a person is pretty much great?
For example, imagine you've just started getting involved with a man or woman (take yer pick), and they're intelligent, funny, nice body, respectful, great in bed, etc., etc...whatever those good things are that you like to find in one person (if possible). Now...imagine that the only real "negative" this person has is one of the following things: - Constantly picks his/her nose, and I mean all day and night, even in public, in bed, in front of your family... - Horrendous table manners...eats like a slob, smacks loudly as they eat, talks with food in their mouths, etc...they're the same way when at a restaurant. - Has a lingering, sour body odor...no deodorant will take it away, and spraying perfume or cologne only makes the odor worse. - Flatulence galore lol...I mean they fart no matter where they are...restaurants, elevators...even during sex. - They're sloppy as hell...whenever you go to their place, it's a wreck...dirty dishes piled up, empty pizza boxes on the floor, stacks of newspapers and dirty clothes everywhere. And when they come over to your place, they're just as sloppy... - Snores like a freakin' jackhammer...big, loud open-mouthed snores that sound insane, and that last the entire night. Also, imagine that none of these things will ever change during the length of your relationship...if you chose to be involved with this person, this aspect of the person will be there no matter what you or they do. With everything else about this person being wonderful...would any of these be "deal breakers" in your eyes?...Or would they be something you'd be willing to put up with in order to be with someone who is practically perfect in every other way? If none of the ones above would be a deal breaker, what would be a "shallow deal breaker" in your eyes?

The only one of those that would not be a deal breaker is the loud snoring.
I'm shallow and picky. | |

The only one I could possibly deal with is the snoring. They have earplugs.
The others HELL to da NAW--as Whitney would say.

I have a few. I call them war wounds...
Chews with her mouth open ... and talks with food on display... Can't cook. Granted, I can. But, surprise a brother. Sheesh. Cooking together can be romantic. Every few moments, interrupts the discussion with: "OK, enough deep talk..." And means it. Seems to exit the bathroom without washing her hands. Thinks everyone wants her cat in their personal space. (I'm a dog person.) Can't control her dog. (I'm not *that* much of a dog person.) Insists on shaving her legs. (OK, that's my issue.) Has ever dropped it like it was hot. I'm sure I have more, but those flew to mind.

I don't think I'd be able to continue a relationship with someone who has deoterant rebelling BO. The rest of them besides snoring (maybe) are changeable. Snoring is so common and mild that I think we have to overlook it. (you know...just poke them) America's political system used to be about the "pursuit of happiness." Now more and more of us want to stop chasing it and have it delivered.

Yes, but remember...none of the things listed can or will ever be changed or corrected...so you can't go into it thinking you have a solution, because there is none lol...

Well, maybe not the snoring...but everything else. I agree, but I have a whole list of other "shallow" deal brakers also. I guess I am too picky. Procrastination is the art of keeping up with yesterday.
