I tried to dump Wal-Mart for Target but couldn't!!

Target opened a nice Super Taarget right across street from Walmart and I started going there for a week. Then all of a sudden, I noticed that ATarget jacked their prices up in a week. I walked in the store with a smile, and walked out confused!28 bottle water shrunk to 24 and 47 cents more. Pasta Roni jacked up from 99 cents to 1.09!! Am I cheap?

I'd rather pay a little more at Target than deal with the crowds at Wal-Mart, every Wal-Mart around me is crowded and they don't have very many cashiers

I dumped my precious moleskine "cahier" (cost 3 for 15 euros) for a cheaper but likewise Italian model of notebook...

75 cents each.

Is this similar?

I like Target, by the way. smile

We have Subway inside our Walmart but our Target has Starbucks and organic food in their food area so they still win. I looove Target.

I agree. I prefer to not shop at a place whilst their emplyees gossip about their co-workers in front of me, talk about the sex they had last night, or even just seem a little bit cordial.

Wal Mart employees hate their jobs and obviously don't have people skills.

Target is clean and void of screaming bad ass kids and sketchy clientele

I don't shop at Walmart. I theoretically shop at Target, though in reality, if I couldn't get it on Craigslist, Ebay, or Zappos, I probably don't own it.

I fancied myself a Target man, until I moved to a spot just around the corner from a Wal-Mart.

I lost that prejudice very quickly... lol

I'm a Target girl. Wal-Mart always seems so dirty and I always seem to be followed by some white trash family whose kid won't stop bawling. And their meat is gross! Target is definitely more expensive but worth it in my opinion. The only real problem I have with Target is I seem to end up buying things I don't need!

It's virtually impossible to leave that store without spending at least $100. Their merchandise is so cool that I always convince myself that I need it. And I always end up with buyer's remorse but at least my house is nicely decorated.

I love target and I hate wal-mart.

Out where my mother lives they have a "super wal-mart", which i think is one of the levels of hell that dante forgot to describe, no doubt due to sheer horror that goes on in there. Not only is it the usual screaming kids and loud assed trashy people who have no concept of inside voice and outside voice, but there's also televisions that constantly blare advertisments everywhere, the brightest, most garish lighting you will ever experience, and it looked like every piece of merchandise was damaged in one way or another.

barf

Target is a much more soothing experience except for the fact that my mother and I can't go in there without spending so much money. lol

Once Wal-Mart has made sweet sweet econo-love to you, there really is no other store to replace it. lol I've tried to replace as well. I just ended up nagging at my dad to drive back to good ol' dependable Wally. (He knows where the special spot is. eek )

We don't have Wal-Mart in NYC and there are no Targets in Manhattan, so I'd have to schlepp to Brooklyn early on a Saturday to avoid the crowds to go to Target.

There is, however, a K-Mart in the East Village. Prior to moving to NYC I wouldn't dare set foot in K-Mart (Rainman says "K-Mart sucks." lol) but since I don't like getting up early and I avoid Brooklyn like the plague, K-mart isn't so bad. lol.

But when I go to visit my parents I always make them take me to Super-Target. woot! Fuck Wal-Mart, not just for the clientel, but they have bad business practices, too.
