Honda Civic hatchback or coupe.

Good gas mileage. Comfy. It'll last forever. Retains its resell value. Relatively stylish. Doesn't break down much... and when it does it won't completely bankrupt you.

The Pontiac G6 is really cool. I had no idea Pontiac made a hard-top convertible. We drove one yesterday and liked it. If you're into convertibles, this merits consideration.

Good question. hmmm

AWD used to be optional on Civics. I'm honestly not sure nowadays.

The only 4 door vehicles I coud recomend to anyone are the jaguar xj, or the maserati quatroporte, everything else is just an ugly car with 2 extra doors. Maybe you should think about buying two coupes, in order to get all 4 doors

If you want AWD, Subaru makes some really great vehicles (the Outback, in particular) that are safe and get better gas mileage than SUVs.

We have a 2005 Audi A6 Quattro, which is AWD. Love it. Coolest car I've owned, both inside and out.
