Ah, the irony, my computer question crashed the system!

The question is, I just got DSL, and since I had dial up at home and use a Mac at work I don't know anything about protecting my computer.

What do you guys use: McAfee, Norton? Firewall, antivirus, spyware protection?

WE have AVG Anti-virus it's a free download (search Free AVG it's from Grisoft I believe) it was actually recomended by the guys that do our computer stuff at work.

We also have spy bot search and destroy, and Ad-Aware for spyware removal. Both are free and have worked very well.

Cool, I have adaware & spybot, I'll check out AVG. I'd like to avoid a subscription if possible.

I downloaded AVG and updated my Spybot & Adaware.

I also did a 90 day trial of McAfee Privacy Service, but that's just asking for a password to get on the internet. I wonder if that's just preventing other people from using my machine, which isn't a real concern.

Also did 90 day free trial of McAfee firewall.

Now the only way I could be more protected would be to resume the unfortunate abstinance of my teenage years.
