I do feel kind of a pressure to record the boys in every way so I don't forget what they were like, things like toes and feet for example they are small for such a short time  | |

Me too! For now I think I'm going to get this, the D40x. Some upgrades from the D40 in line with the D80 and still relatively cheap. 
Sounds pretty good. http://www.imaging-resour.../D40XA.HTM Looks like I'll miss out on the D80 but hopefully when the D90 or whatever the next one in the higher tier is called comes out, I'll be ready.
