i just had to call the cops on my neighbors

never had to do that before neutral
4:50 i am woken up to slamming doors.
first i was pissed because its the
second time in three weeks they ve
woken me up with screaming. they
got all snarkey with me then so my
first thoughts were what will they
do to me later if i call the cops.

but then there was too much thumping
for me to ignore. stuff was being
knocked over and she screamed dont
do that to me. cops arrived quickly
and she tried lying saying he wasnt
home. lol to which the cop replied
is that him in the window? they have
just left now after 20 minutes.

so now i can go back to wondering if
he will flick his cigarette butt over
the fence and burn my house down. neutral
or maybe they will "forget" to put
their dog on the lead and she will
finally jump over and bite me. neutral

I once had a downstairs neighboor who was noisy at nights, so I complained about him and he was thrown out. Then he threatened me and I told the police, and the police had a chat with him. I haven't seen or heard from him since then and pray that I never will, either. He was a very unpleasant type. It was all a very bad experience. neutral

I have a similar story to share.

A few months back, I had to call the police on my neighbours.
I pretty much thought the house was abandoned, then one night I heard this commotion outside on the street. I turned the light off and took a peek. To my horror, a man from the seemingly 'abandoned' home was beating up his girlfriend, she was screaming, 'help me, stop it, help me". Anyway he grabbed her by the hair, proceeded to hit her again and dragged her into their house. Then I could hear music blaring. I was thinking.. ok, she is officially being beaten to death. Bastard!
Anyway, I called the police... they took about hmmm an HOUR to come.. Could we say police incompetence??
They had back up.. and they arrested him..yay!
I am a total pussy, I slept with the light on and a knife under my pillow. I thought for sure he would retaliate. He knows I was the one who called, because as they were arresting him they came a knockin' on my door to ask for a statement. I specifically told the police I wanted to remain anonymous. They mustn't learn the meaning of 'anonymous' in the academy.. shrug
To my relief they moved out a couple of weeks later...yay!

as i said in my org bug post i cant imagine
being in a relationship that involved screaming

her though otherwise the cops would have arrested him.

Yeah, I spent a year in some apartments in a not-so-great part of town, while looking for a house.

Beneath me lived the "Cops" couple, as I liked to call them.

A single (or so I thought) mother had moved in beneath me. She seemed OK enough, routinely had some friends over but nothing crazy.

Then the dude, the "baby daddy," moved in with her. He came from Louisiana.

I know this because he shouted how he'd moved from there to Tennessee to be with her. He said this one day while shoving her around the apartment, throwing things around in the kitchen and refusing to leave or let her leave.

So, I called the cops, and he was all docile when they showed. rolleyes They didn't cart him off, of course.

Then, there was the time some dude apparently called her on her cell around 5 in the morning. He answered the phone and wanted to know who the apparent interloper was and started having a heated argument with the person on the phone, outside the apartment.

So, of course, the cops were called again (by someone else, this time).

I was so glad to get out that place.

In my last apartment I had to call them more than once (and another nighbor did as well) for the couple who lived across the hall. They had horrible, vicious, violent fights and the one was ALWAYS beating the other. I hated it. I was so thankful when I moved.

The only time I called the cops for a domestic dispute was when I lived with a roommate and her boyfriend busted in the apartment late one night. They started fighting, he came into my room to start telling me off (I have no idea why), and by the time they stated pushing each other around I had had enough.

My roommate was furious with me for doing it. rolleyes

I've called the cops on the drug dealers that used to live down the street from my parents a few times and for a few other things.

hug , Emm.

I'll call the cops in a heartbeat, when I hear something bad happening. I've called for domestic disputes in just about every city I've lived in. The one that chilled by blood was the time the couple living next door to me were scuffling and the man yelled:

"Stop hitting me! I hit you because you always hit me!!"

Just seemed like a trainwreck of humanity. sad

i was just gonna say that, nothing really changes when you get a home, except maybe an increase in people asking for money in one form or another, or people who think that you can afford to have them steal your gas cans etc.

There's this family in my neighbourhood, the exterior of their home, yard, etc is run down. The mother is hardly home she works. I think it's not easy for her. Kids go back and forth from their home to a townhouse, which I figure they're related or it's a place they go to sell/buy drugs. Drugs going on, all kinds of cars going up and down the alley at gawd awful times during the night, parties, fights. The home is well known to police and child welfare. Mother verbally fights with kids and her man. It's bad in summer time coz her voice can be heard by the entire neighbourhood whether she's inside her home or outside with fuck this and fuck that and shouting, arguing, slamming doors. She's even come outside and barked at her neighbours neutral

One summer night I was awoken at 1:30 a.m. by the bickering and hearing her loud obnoxious voice going at her man and whatever else she was bitching about. I did not get any sleep coz they went at it till 5:30 a.m., and I had to get up for work neutral I had to listen to that shit all night long. You can still hear stuff with the windows closed.

My next door neighbours boyfriend shouted out their window "shut the fuck up"!! lolol, he should done it earlier. She shut up after that lol

I cannot wait till winter time, I won't have to hear the arguing.

I had to call the police one time coz I saw a man take the 12 year old girl into the garage and he closed the door and all I could think was omg he's going to have sex with her. Her two brothers came to the garage door and tried to open it, it was obviously locked as they could not enter, I'm watching all this going on.

That was it for me, I called the cops for her safety.

That family is nuts nuts

Rodney's soft top (to his convertible) got cut up in my front parking area last week. He just got it replaced this morning. The cops don't even come to investigate around here, auto vandalism and car theft is high in this area. I am getting a gun. No really. It's so unfortunate the area and days we live in today. I want to live where there are no people. lol No, really.

I was had a group of college boys living in the house next to me. Mommy and Daddy bought them the house so they could attend OU...at first I thought, okay they won't act up because it's a new house etc...I was WRONG! They had party after party, keeping my kids up, well the last straw was when I caught one of their buddies peeing in my yard! From that point on I called the cops all the time! At this time OU made a rule that if any OU student living off of campus was reported to the police for bad behavior they would be suspended from school...I believe OU had the 3 strike rule...well the boys were on 2..so no more parties. Finally the parents sold the house..and the boys left us! Thank god!!!

In my old apartment in Pittsburgh, I lived across the hall from this white trash family from Slippery Rock (close to where my brother lives) who were always beating on each other and fighting. I finally called the cops several times. Once the husband even threatened to lynch me up (for being black). Finally the landlord threw them out. Thank God I don't live there anymore. pray

I wish I could get rid of my neighbor's son but they bought their house, right next to ours. He's a "pusher" so I guess that is why they don't make him leave. This boy is up all hours of the night either talking on his cell phone or talking to whom ever. He and his friends are so loud in fact I can hear them through closed windows. It could be 2am in the morning and there is that awful voice, cussing and what not.

What's even worse is if he comes home after 12 midnight at least 3 or 4 times a week they lock him out. Oh yes, his Mother refuses to let him have a key to the house and he's out there screaming and yelling and banging on the door for someone to let him in. A few nights ago he was out there for 3 hours! Banging and knocking and what not. I know this cause I cannot sleep during this drama.

My husband does not want us to call the cops (I am always hoping someone else does) because he fears retaliation and we have a 3 year old, you know the drill. I HATE living next to them, not only is he loud and boisterous but his whole family is. From the loud music to early morning craziness. mad

Sometimes I wish I could just go out there and knock him out! But of course he may just bust a cap in my behind so I have to stay where I am and suffer through it.

mad

Now I don't wish harm on anybody (in this case I do at times) but last night he was up again screaming on his cell phone about his car accident and he was in pacing up in down the side walk and I guess one of our neighbors got mad at him and to drown out his heinous voice, so they decided to play some loud congo music of some sort. At first it was funny and then I looked at the clock, 3:15am. He had been complaining, cussing and yelling on his cell phone and talking about how he ran into some girls rear end and smashed up his beautiful BMW. I guess what comes around....

wink
