Make him watch Graffiti Bridge, and write a literary critique on it.

Oh, I don't take much stock in what Phil says anyways. I'm just kind of pitying you for being his new "Katie Holmes" so to speak comfort

Actually, British men, no joking aside, all have a charming hint of gayness to them. It's very very charming actually.

When I was waiting for my luggage at the London HELL-throw airport, a young lad struck up a conversation with me. He was dashingly good looking and couldn't be more than 17 or 18 years of age. I imagine he was getting ready to go off for his last summer before University.

During our conversation I couldn't help noticing how gay they all seem.

Yup, he's gonna pursue a liberal arts major for sure.

Jeannie babes i think you did the right thing. I was thinking about this in bed last night (i didn't wanna react in an instant like i do boxed) and i think you were dead right to do what you did.
We have spoken alot about what is going on with your son and this is a lesson that needs to be learned. All these people saying "he paid for it you can't take it" ...well there is a precedent within society and therefore a lesson in what you did.

If i park in the wrong place i pay a fine from MY money
If i speed i pay a fine from MY money
If i dont pay my taxes i pay a fine from MY money
If i dont pay my fines i get my car,my house or other goods removed that I paid for.

Life is full of lessons and if, for your son, the kid lessons are no longer teaching him that action has consequence then he needs to learn the adult lessons sooner rater than later.

If you'd throw in an extra dime, there'd be Princely karma at work and everything would be cool.

Or, like I said, you could just give the iPod to me and that way, everyone wins. Well, I win. lol

"NO" to invoking the Prince karma, or "NO" to giving me the iPod?

PS: You DO know I'm joking about the "give me the iPod" part, right?

Ever since this kid was born, he has had everything he has ever wanted.
He started acting up in Jr high and has contined to get worse are the years go by.
He is attending weekly counseling, and tough love has still hasnt taken affect on him.
So I figure take what he bought, from his hard earned moneyfrom him, and maybe he will understand.....
He thinks that since he has been spolied, he can do whatever he wants. If I take things it will be a short term thing, no sweat.....

But NO, I will not be keeping it, he will get it back at xmas time.

have you used the belt? That always worked lol

I have gone so far, as to put all my son's things on the porch, and change the locks on the doors.....

What straightened him out finally!: after enough DUI's, probation, and parents who advised jail time to the probation officer....he's now settled down. 3 months in the can, with lousy food, did the trick.

BOOT CAMP!!!!

You know, it's funny how a lot of these incorrigible teens end up being really nice adults. Happened to my girlfriend. Her son was just HORRIBLE for years and it was mostly her fault, 'cause she never *really* allowed him to feel the consequences of his actions. Then, one day, he turned 16 and *BAM*--just became this totally different person. Went off to an Ivy League school, turned into the coolest person.

Now, of course, there are those that DON'T turn out that way. . .
