Just make sure you enter the line with the cutest security guard at the end of it...
I think that would help you get the most out of your implant wink

I'm really happy for you Aero! Congradulations! BTW, there are also some rides at amusement parks that you can't ride either due to the magnetics of it. I got into a line to ride a ride and discovered that you can't ride if you have implants because it could pull it out of ya, I was really bummed about that. Ah well. Enjoy your new sense of hearing and your new sense of freedom with it! Again, congrats!

Thanks again folks. Very touching.

BTW, the device costs 20 000 $ + 10 000 $ for the surgery itself. Of course, it's insured.

Aero worship...you've been through a lot physically. I'm glad things are turning out smoothly for you.

True! The reason I waited three days to talk about the results is that I had a big headache. The equivalent of three batteries of electricity go through my brain every 30 hours - that's a whole lot of 'lectricity. Now, I've adjusted, and I can finally concentrate on hearing.

Hey Aero, not to scare you, but check out this link at the CDC concerning Cochlear implants and bacterial meningitis.

Don't worry, Aaron. I was warned beforehand. The risk is extremely small. I think there's less than 30 cases for about 60 000 implanted persons (sounds dirty, doesn't it?) worldwide.

Music, I'm glad to say, sounds better in most aspects. That includes PRINCE... Yeah I know some of you were sort of hoping I would toss my cookes listening to Wedding Feast, but I've heard it before, so I wasn't about to subject myself to it. I did the smart thing and skipped straight to She Loves me 4 me... So nice hearing the acoustic guitar and vocals so much better than I did before.

smile I'm glad for you, Aero...hug smile
