Many of you know that I'm going through a divorce. Part of that includes still shelling out the bucks for things at my "other house" (where my ex and kids live) to keep them in the same lifestyle as before I left. This is not mandated by any court, just something I've been doing to lessen the blow of the changes around them.

Well - my internet service was one of those things. With my daughter in college and the boys (ages 10 and 11) very much into internet games and school work (sadly, in that order), I've kept the internet on over there, and have just been "catching signals" with my laptop when I can. As a result, I've been uncertain as to when my internet is going to be on or not... did the neighbors get their system blocked? Why is there no signal tonight? Etc...

Today, I had the cable people install my own line! This is very exciting! I now have a cable modem and a Linsys system hooked up to it so I have internet all over my house (and I'm sure available for those who want to 'borrow' a signal from me!).

Well... here's to speedier and happier surfing!
