oh YES ME!!

I am really liking this show...tonight they decided to kill some chickens, I was surprised the oldest kid chopped off thier heads with no problem. confused
i feel so bad for the young ones that get homesick & start to cry.
I think the oldest guy Craig? is his name..he is gonna cause trouble b/c he did not win the goldstar this week. he is sneaky..i dont like him.

i think its a great learning experience 4 the kids.

I was channel surfing during a commercial of dancing with the stars....when I clicked "kid nation" there was some poor kid crying....I changed it back to my ego inflated wannabe dancers show in a flash!!

I think the chicken-head-cutter-offer did this at home. That's my guess.

I'm interested to see viewer response to the show. I read about it alot via online news and initially they made it out to be rather sensational, and exploitive of the children. The show's suits countered with the soundbite that the kids were better protected than any summer camp one can find in the United States. I'm kinda curious...

The show seems VERY "cooked" to me. It feels like the kids are mostly told what to do and how to do it. Within the first 5-7 days (I think that's how long it's been), it seems like the kids are able to solve relatively "large" problems (these are kids, remember?) and the drama that ensues seems ready-made for TV. I find it hard to believe: a) the things the kids say - somethings seem absolutely scripted and b) the things they do - the actions they take and the reactions to the things that others do seems unrealistic for kids this age.

Perhaps I'm wrong, but I sense COMPLETE artistic direction from adults is in play.

I watch it...and so far, it's okay. Does make me nervous with a bunch of kids out there with no adults...but I think it's just the Mommy in me coming out. lol

I dont' feel Michael should have won the gold star...he is a great kid and all, and seems very well spoken..but Greg worked worked his butt off, from killing those chickens to helping out in the kitchen when the yellow team was to lazy to do their jobs.

OMG I watch far to much TV! lol

I think there are PLENTY of adults around behind the scenes in my opinion.... like I said, this thing looks completely cooked to me.... sad
