What I like about Miguel is that he doesn't seem to try to be nice just to be well-liked; he actually is that nice and that's rare.

Yeah, I know. I think I can be preceived as mean sometimes since I can be very straightforward and opinionated, but I never say anything specifically to be mean or hurt somebody's feelings. Some people do though. They just try to do as much damage as possible. I'm getting less and less tolerant with that kind of behaviour. Even when it comes to the "occasional meanies", the people that are only truly mean when they get really angry for example. I can never fully trust them after they've shown what they are prepared to do and say under certain circumstances.

I've always been generally a happy person so it takes a lot for me to get really angry and mean. It does happen though, but it's in reaction to something that has hurt me.
