I'm Poorly Sick... :( I started with a cold on the night of my last Prince concert & aftershow on 1st September (luckily it didn't ruin what turned into the most fabulous night of my life!) from then it turned into a nasty cough, which got worse and worse... eventually my friends and family bullied me into seeing a dr (not my usual one) who said that I have an infection on my right lung. The next day my chest and back started to hurt so I called to speak to my GP who said it was Pleuresy  and I was put onto anti-biotics.
I'm still coughing up minor organs and feel the need to say 'Fuck' or 'Shit' at the end of each coughing bout (pleuresy tourettes  ) So the antibiotics didn't work so I made myself another appointment to go back.... turns out I have pneumonia  I've been put on harsher anti-biotics (which look like they should be administered with the aid of a blow pipe by a vet! They're friggin HUGE!) and they booked me in for a chest X-Ray tomorrow. My doc was amazed that I was up, dressed, out of the house and in quite a chipper mood - I told him that as a mother of a 3 year old I'm not allowed to be sick 
I think that as this all started at the Prince concert the least he could do is pop round to make sure I'm alright, maybe stick the hoover round, take the little 'un out from under my feet for a few hours, rub some Vicks into my heaving bussom.. C'mon Prince, where are you?! Call me...   I'm not stopping. I haven't even taken my coat off

Well I went to the hospital today for my X-Ray, what a bleedin' palarva! Waited in a packed waiting room for ages before being ushered into a set of cubicles where I had to undress from the waist up, put on a hospital gown and then sit in the cubicle and wait to be called - I had to laugh as we looked like a bunch of people sitting on the toilet with the doors open  I'm sure I've had nightmares about that sort of thing...
The X-Ray was really quick, was told to go get dressed and then they came to say that I could go and should contact my GP in 7-10 days. 7-10 DAYS???!!! I have pneu-fuckin-monia! I'll either be better or dead by then! Bugger me what a waste of friggin' time that was!!! 
I'm on the anti-biotics and they're making me feel like absolute shit, so some sympathy would be lovely ... On that note, I still haven't heard from Prince  I'm not stopping. I haven't even taken my coat off

i was okay till the radiologist made me inhale for the x-ray... then 10 minutes of gasping and coughing till the tears were running down my face 
give your body time to kick it. in the mean time
get the sott dvd from the paper and curl up with tea She couldn't stop crying 'cause she knew he was gone to stay | |

I'm definately gonna be getting that DVD (I was gonna buy that the other day - how glad am I that I didn't?! )I'm not stopping. I haven't even taken my coat off

It also means that all the coughing is giving me a fantastic abdominal workout!

oh, I can thoroughly relate. I battled that damn pneumonia back during July and August of this year..I too took so many friggin anti-biotics that it was unreal!! I think in all I was on 2 different kinds for right at a months lenght of time..and still yet my energy level isn't where it was before I came down with the crap!! 
I hope you are feeling better soon, especially having a little one to take care of too.. Because of God..we 2 r 1~~Darren & Suzyn forever
