Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

NFC West foes 49ers, Seahawks square off

This weeks game versus the 49ers will mark the 17th time the two clubs have squared off in the regular season with each team splitting the previous 16 games. The Seahawks have won six of the last eight but dropped both contests last season.

[Edited 9/29/07 19:32pm]

Seahawks (2-1) at 49ers (2-1)

Last meeting:
San Francisco running back Frank Gore rushed for 212 yards and the 49ers scored on four of their first six possession to defeat Seattle, 24-14, last December.

Streaks:
The all-time series is knotted at 8-8, but the 49ers swept the season series in 2006. The Seahawks won six consecutive games from 2003-05.

Last week:
Matt Hasselbeck threw a 22-yard touchdown pass with just over a minute remaining and the special teams recovered a fumble on the ensuing kickoff as the Seahawks defeated the Bengals, 24-21. ... The 49ers, who opened the season 2-0, struggled in a 37-16 loss at Pittsburgh.

At stake:
The Seahawks were average against the NFC West last season (3-3) and already have dropped a road division game to Arizona. The 49ers were a trendy preseason pick, but if the team wants to win the NFC West, they must take care of division opponents at home.

Key matchup:
RB Shaun Alexander vs. LB Patrick Willis. Alexander has 11 touchdowns in 10 career games against San Francisco. Alexander, who will wear a cast on his wrist, has rushed for 493 yards and six touchdowns in his last five games against the 49ers. Pittsburgh's Willie Parker had two huge runs against San Francisco last week. First-round pick Willis leads the 49ers in tackles, three games into the season. The 49ers played well on defense in its first two games, before they ran into (or more appropriately were ran over by) the Steelers last week. Willis will be counted on to stop Alexander.

Key injuries:
SEATTLE: WR D.J. Hackett (ankle), TE Ben Joppru (ankle), RB Maurice Morris (hip), RB Shaun Alexander (wrist), T Sean Locklear (knee); SAN FRANCISCO: TE Vernon Davis (knee), WR Jason Hill (hamstring), WR Arnez Battle (groin), WR Darrell Jackson (back), S Michael Lewis (ribs).

QB Matt Hasselbeck has won six of his last seven starts against the 49ers. ... WR Darrell Jackson will be playing against his former team for the first time.

What a joke. It's ridiculous that marijuana's illegal - this country's so backwards sometimes.

I think it should be legalized too.....but it's not. And Vick should've known better. Man, of all the times he wanna blaze up, he chooses to do so when he's public enemy number 1 and being watched like a hawk. lol
